Invert landscape view on paperwhite 2

My daughter ordered a new case for her paperwhite 2. The case is designed to support itself upright so you can read it in landscape view. However due to the case setting, the text is upside down. Of course I thought she could just pop out the kindle and turn it around within the case, but due to the top and bottom being different to accommodate the power button and charging area, she can't do that. Is there a hack, or a way to invert the landscape mode??

IIRC, it depends on the firmware version being run.
A search of the posts here should find some mention of "inverted landscape".

In addition to what you have already mentioned, the cases usually only have a singe corner with a magnet for the "on/off by open/close" of the case.

You may be faced with having to return that case to the seller in exchange for one that is properly designed for the purposes sold.

Agreed. Clearly a case that's intended to act as a stand for use in landscape mode should be designed in such a way that the text is the right way up when doing so! The case is defective - complain to the seller.

Thanks for your help. I will look up IIRC and see if that can fix it. Unfortunately, I bought the case through amazon USA and had it sent all the way to Japan, so return might not be as easy as it sounds....

Hopefully IIRC can do the trick...

My bad, I did not realize I was replying to a non-native speaker (of urban slang abbreviations).

Note: If you limit your searches to posts made by twobob, you might have a better chance of finding the information.
twobob did a lot of work related to how the Kindle display works (or doesn't work).

That is too new for anyone to have worked on an additional display mode.

The device will have to be jail broken, since if possible, it will need access to the internal system.

Note: Do not let it update to any of the 5.9.x firmware versions, that will just make it harder to solve (and impossible to jail break).
