Problem with orphans and widows
Hello everyone,
First, I apologize for the level of English (Google Translate) I attach two images where the problem is shown, which is basically that when there is a paragraph break at the end, a line skips to the next page, leaving an empty line on the previous one. Now there are the values of orphans and widows at 1, I have tried at 0 and the result is the same. Thank you so much |

Please try some settings in the upper menu Typeset - Style tweaks - Pages and margins - Widows and orphans

In addition to (possibly) orphan & widows shenanigans, you happen to have gigantic line-widths *and* rivers between (some? perhaps weird scene breaks?) paragraphs, so the second screen-shot looks correct to me (as in, there's not enough actual space to put another line at the bottom there)?

I have modified this padding top/button with other values and the same thing happens, there is simply more space below, but it moves me one line to the other page. Forgive me for the screenshots that are a bit confusing. |

Maybe your empty-line has too large line-width? The one between the paragraphs.

If that were the case, shouldn't it also happen here?

Have a look at the comment from one of the KOReader devs here: https://github.com/koreader/koreader...ent-1620602597

With the kobo software this did not happen to me. As soon as I can try it and say something. Thanks, again |

The epubs that I come across come with padding, and I can't find a way with Calibre to replace "padding-bottom" with "margin-bottom", automatically.
I don't know if there is any way to automate the change, and not have to do it manually for each book. If not, I'll have to learn to live with it. With the same configuration it didn't happen to me with the Kepub, but everything I earn with Koreader is worth it. |

You can always use"User tweaks".
Can't write more since... mobile, but I'm sure you'll find out 😉 |
