I am reading 3 things right now.

One thing is time sensitive: a harlequin "bundle" from the library, I have 3 weeks to read as much of it as I can..

Lakota Surrender by Karen Kay, a kindle freebie I picked up last week.
The Mountains of Mourning by Lois McMaster Bujold, a Baen free Library download. (LOVING THIS! thanks to @BeccaPrice for putting this on my Radar.)

Turns out I have a free Kindle ebook (actually I picked up three free Kiplings at Amazon some time back, Captains Courageous, The Jungle Book and Kim).

I urge you to download the free version of Kim at the MobileRead library (yes, I formatted it). None of the free ones at Amazon have a properly proof-read text.

When I start reading any one of those 'free' (including the 'inexpensive' ones) books from Amazon, I always look for one from Mobileread before beginning reading. I've replaced all those that I've read so far. Thanks for the 'heads up'.

I've just started Odd Apocalypse. Every time I finish one of the Odd Thomas series, I decide enough's enough. And then in a moment of weakness, I succumb .

I'm about to start book 5 of the Beyond Armageddon series by Anthony DeCosmo. I've read them all back to back and this is hands down the best and most addictive indie SF series I've come across.

Martin Cruz Smith's Arkady Renko series

I read Martin Cruz Smith's Arkady Renko series of 7 books. Finish them in a week. This is a good series about an OCD Russian special investigator that cannot leave an investigation half way through, he has to see it to its bitter end. On the process he encounters corrupt bosses, complicated love affairs and the historical opening up process of Russia. Overall, I would give this series a 4 star rating.

Also reading (on Audible), Carousel Tides, by Sharon Lee. Actually a re-read, I read it on my Kindle when it released, but hadn't bought the Audible book until this summer.
Well, that didn't happen. Instead, I devoured Ukiah Oregon #3, Bitter Waters. But honestly, I'm getting a bit bored with this series. I'll probably read the next one, but it can wait a bit.

Started Fledgling by Sharon Lee and Steve Miller. This is a re-read, but I decided to go right back to the start of this story arc in preparation for Dragon Ship which just released. (I read it as an eArc, but the final is now out. )

All of Lee&Miller's Liaden books are also due to be available on Audible on September 4th, but I don't have enough credits to get them all, so I'll settle for reading the Theo Waitley series and listening to the others.
