My iLiad has arrived... - Page 9

Er... I just went outside to take some pics of it working in the sun. Went to my CF menu to load a PDF (one I'd successfully loaded before), and it's hung on loading.

And I mean *completely* hung. It just shows the second page of my CF index, the little green light in the top left is flickering gently (and gets brighter if I get the stylus out and bring it near to the screen, so something is still alive in there) but no controls do *anything*. I've tried the on/off switch but no amount of sliding it, sliding and holding it for a few seconds or whatever will do anything at all. It is completely unresponsive to all commands.

How in hell do I reset it?

There must be a small hole on the back.
Use a paperclip to manually reset the Iliad.
(got this from a photo somewhere)

ah, I just found the recessed button on the back labelled "Reset".

Rebooting it now..

There is a reset button on the back in the middle.

If you press that it will shut the machine down and you can turn it on again via the normal on/off switch.

Display is bright and clear in direct sunlight.

Displaying the pdf manual of a ham radio.

Not a very clear pic of the display (due to not so good photography rather than any display deficiency, the sun is glaring off the display so you can't see it properly) but amusing - one of my sheep looking at "The Wolf and the Lamb" from Aesop's Fables

great - that means the iliad is sheepproof. next thing we have to check are goats.

It looks really shiny. End of the week - yay.

What about dog or cat?

Is it save to have the device around with these type of amimals?

Perhaps we should start a new thread to see if something is threatened by the device?

BTW, ali prooved, that is also save with humans (small ones there)
