My brother lives in San Diego, so when they have an earthquake out there this is the first place I check. You can report in when you feel one, and it gets added to the map of where it was felt. Pretty good website.

It's not exactly a fan, but a 'dancing flower'. It starts to spin around when it gets sunlight. It does generate a little bit of a breeze, just enough for me to cool down a but. I can't use a fan because my eyes are very dry, and the wind from the fan makes them very painful. Even now without a fan I have to use eye drops every hour.

It's also a very pretty flower

I have a Japanese one that I use. Almost the twin of this one. On that map, I live within the Osaka circle. If you picture it as a clock, I live right on the Osaka/Kyoto border (the street in front of my house is the actual border) at about 2:00, and in from the edge of 'that' circle about 1/3 of the way. The Osaka circle is covering up half of Kyoto.

Ahhhhhh, I can relate to something now. Whenever Dad has fever, he puts on thick blankets, gathers some weird herbs to put in a bucket of boiling water and there, he has sauna at home (I read more about sauna today than all in my life before today together ).

Mom says if you have a fever, you should sweat as much as possible :|
