Kindle Touch/PW1/PW2 5.0.x - 5.4.4.2 JailBreak. Plus FW 5.x USBNetwork.

Hello friends.

I'm trying to jailbreak my KindlePaperWhite2.0, but I have had problems.

I just bought the kindle yesterday,
First at all, the kindle had the 5.4.5.1 firmware.
I downgrade the firmware to version 5.4.2.1 using the method of rebot the device while this is still plugged in the usb.
Next, I did the steps to jailbreak from this trickle, Im sure I did the steps correctly, however, the "Update Your Kindle" link stays grayed out.
I also did the steps in the "FAQ's" when this happened, and however the "Update Your Kindle" link stays grayed out.

Next, I downgrade the firmware again one level, now to the firmware 5.1.2.0, hoping that now the jailbreak worked on a earlier firmware.

Regrettably, it did not work.

CAn you help me please?

Now, after doing the jailbreak, the "Update Your Kindle" link is still appearing in black bold letters.

Is this normal? Is necessary do again the "Update Your Kindle"?

@Shalk: You wouldn't happen to have left wireless on, would you? Because if you did, that's probably the 5.4.5.1 update queued up. (Or if you didn't, leave wireless on, or clicking the 'UYK' link does nothing, that's just the OTA updater being silly: simply restart the device to 'fix' it).

No, Im using the kindle in "flight mode" to avoid new updates.

@NiluJE, thanks, I restared the device and now the "Update Your Kindle" link appears grayed out again.

1- In this point ¿Is there any method to check if the device is still jaibreaked?

2. Regarding to the edition of your other answer, I dont understand the meaning of "OTA".

You can check if the device is still jailbroken by trying to install one of the other packages available here. Or trying to run the MobileRead-developed kindlets, i.e. KUAL or Collections Manager or suchlike.

OTA == Over The Air. Amazon will wirelessly send the updates to your Kindle.
(There is a way to stop that: Kindle_Touch_Hacking#Blocking_Official_Updates)
