Yes, we have official vests with our logo on it. We'll be standing a little bit away from a traffic light where we're going to ask the passing cyclists if they have some time for a short survey. But 'capturing' them will certainly be a problem. We'll just have to figure out how we do this as we go. There are 2 of us and one 'observer', so we'll figure something out.

I'm sure our girl will find a much more suitable approach.

Having a nice relaxing mug of Assam tea, unbranded.

Another is another unbranded Ceylon, about the same price. The China Black I import from NY is a bit more expensive, but not that much more.
I have been wondering about it.
I have got an idea but NY's tea somewhat weakens it and there are more loopholes.
Surely, it might be your personal taste. However, regardless of what Keemun you drink, you do love you black teas from Fortnum and Mason, The East India Company or Taylors of Harrogate. So, your taste is not that cheap
Japan is close to China. There are might be different trade routes. The shops were purchase teas don't have to obtain the tea from world renown plantations, like Fortnum and Mason, The East India Company or Taylors of Harrogate do. Although, NBTea, Tea House Emporium (much better than NBTea), Chah, PekoTea don't have to approach them, then maybe international food laws etc., force them to use only certain suppliers. Japan, on the other hand, might afford use small farms and suppliers who might have as good or even better tea, less delivery hassle etc...

Cuppa #3
Milk Oolong.

Back from M&S with palmiers ready for Weekend Good Mornings with Assam Doomur Dulling TGFOP from Fortnum and Mason.

I have been interrupted by lecturer under stress....my cup is empty.
Chah's Keemun for my lunch will be the next cuupa.

A net would really have come in handy, actually

It started pouring at 2PM, and all our papers got soaked so we decided to go home early. Cyclist won't stop to talk when it's raining anyway. I interviewed about 20 people, and I think between the three of us we managed to 'capture' () 70 cyclists. I just tried to approach them with a smile and be as nice as I can be Also, we agreed that I would approach the male cyclist and my two male colleagues the girls. That seemed to work as well.

I'm going to work a couple more hours to finish processing the comments on my report, and then it's time for the weekend!

Oh yeah: in my cup ... water!

Pot one of Rooibos Capetown.

I think that there are certain types of tea where the processing is less important then others. I think that most black loose leaf teas are going to be similar because of the way black tea is processed. The overall quality of the tea should be similar but that there will be difference in preference due to the amount of infused flavor and the quality of the infused ingredient. So Earl Greys can very because of the level of Bergamot.

I think green teas and oolongs are more picky. Because they are less processed then the black teas you can tell the difference in growing seasons and processing errors. These are also the teas that respond to water by expanding a ton as opposed to black teas that stay about the same size.

The black Chinese teas are a bit confusing to me. They are not as mass produced in the west but what I am reading indicates that they are very popular in China and Japan. So they could have some of the green/oolong issues based on growing region and less on processing.

Does this make any sense?

Whenever, somebody approaches me on the street, I slowly shake my head indicating I am not in a talkative mode, don't ask me any questions

I was born in a family where drinking alcohol was always tied either to a holiday, such as 7 November (Bolshevik Revolution in Russia), 31.12-01.01 (New Year), Birthdays, or guests (all in all no more than once in a month, maybe less often).
I still cannot get used to this idea of having a glass of wine or something stronger every evening.
I am getting better with embracing the idea (even sometimes partaking in the new custom with a

of single malt), courtesy to one Russian Lady I have been living with for ...years I mean my wife. In the beginning I would be mildly surprised if she were proposing to have a drink once a week without any good reason. You cannot drink every week!!! How come, just to have a drink? Why? What is a reason? You have to go to work tomorrow! I would say. She kindly ignored my rambling. She said that Brits drink wine all the time. I didn't believe her. Then, one year ago, a colleague of mine, a well respected lady, 57 years old, middle class!, boasted that she managed to stay wine free for two weeks and she got to stay alcohol free only for one more week then back to... On my puzzled look she answered with an equally puzzled look. What? I drink every night one, sometimes two glasses of wine........about at the same time I learned that out Scottish friends 70 years old (again middle class) have a drink every day, not only night. Sometimes wine, sometimes scotch, sometimes something else...I mean if it were working class like us, or chafs it would fit my stereotypes.
The idea is still somewhat foreign to me. My better 2/3s drinks probably 4x more than I do Good quality teas encroach on a small piece of land whisky managed to appropriate. Though, Scots are stubborn, I must say. They hold their ground well.

P.S. Don't get me wrong. I am not religious. I don't have any moral issues with drinking. It just seems odd to me. Something in my blood.

The part about Green, Blue and Red yes.

I am not sure about Black. They differentiate less, but they definitely do. Even one type such as Assam. I tried a few that were rubbish and a few superb Assam. Then again, I agree that the gamut of black tea flavours is narrow in comparison to green or blue

Interesting...

As for Red...as I mentioned to so long time ago, I learned that you don't infuse a good red with 100C as you do black. It came as a big surprise to me.
