I only became aware of the OneDrive issue yesterday when after upgrading the OS I noticed the OneDrive client downloading 2 GB of files I had previously marked online-only. I am not happy having to lose precious space on my tiny SSD.

Well, after trying a few things, backing everything up, etc.

Everything I've tried on the laptop (with the exception of the missing Windows Media Center

) is working. Definitely the smoothest upgrade of windows I've yet seen.

I'm going to to give it a shot on my desktop (main machine).

I've got a DVD for install but am creating a USB at the moment and will use that.

Hopefully back in a bit...

Really works and eliminates the biggest annoyance I had.
I went with the dark gray accent to complement the black taskbar and menu and black bezel on the tablet.

Everything else is running fine so yes, the white bars were the only annoyance.

I will not be using Edge until MS allows plugins. I like my Google Toolbar and Favorites Bar, among others.

I realise that. I put it down to herd mentality and a reluctance towards change.

The maligned metro interface was only an addition. It didn't replace anything in a meaningful sense. It was virtually Windows 7 with an extra interface that could easily be ignored. Is there something major that you could do in previous versions that was not possible in Windows 8? Was Windows 8 sluggish? What exactly was objectively wrong with Windows 8?

Generally liking W10, but one issue with my Surface 3 tablet that's ready to make me downgrade it: I have account "require sign-in" set to "after 15 min". Previously that meant I could use the power button and put it to sleep and if I wanted to turn it back on it would go straight to the desktop if I did so in the 1st 15 mins or require signing in after that. Currently no matter what i have set for (including never), it is always asking for a password when I wake it if I'm more than probably 30 seconds after sleeping it (REAAALLLLLLYYYY frustrating). I do have it set to not ask for a password on wake from screensaver, so it's not that. Anyone else seeing this?

It's built in. You simply need to enable it in the settings for start and for edge. It's the black scheme that has been popular in many of the 10 screenshots out there.

The charms bar is one thing that drives plenty of people bonkers. Seemingly slow to appear when you need it and incessantly popping up when you don't want it such as when trying to scroll or close a full screen program. That alone made 10 a breath of fresh air for me.

Just installed on my desktop....had a fright with the display when it first came up, but was able to find and re-install the drivers (it actually checked/found/installed them when I told it to look for drivers) and I think I'm okay now....more later...

Thanks. I thought I read that it wasn't going to be there. Does it work for all windows and backgrounds? I can't currently use the Aero themes in Win 7 because the background color I choose doesn't work on a lot of places including Windows Explorer.

No it doesn't work in other apps and folders though in hope they change it.

Then it's pretty useless for me. I currently use Windows Classic theme because it changes colors everywhere - I have seen screen prints that show Classic theme settings under themes. Does this work the same as the old Classic theme?
