I've tried Bookerly with KePub and the smaller spacing patch, Bookerly just did not work well. Bookerly works best with too much space between words.

Well, I've just discovered that my favourite font type is called slab serif No matter what font I try I always end up back at Bookerly!

I disagree wit that blog post. There's no reason to not use the font you like regardless of the type of book you are reading. And the idea of what a script font is in the animation is wrong. That's not a script type font.
