Nice article. It didn't mention the advanced polarizing filter, which should help see the screen while at the beach or pools. Unless that only affects the cameras? Otherwise, it might be a little difficult to see the screen at the beach!

Those silicon covers look like they would be good for gripping but honestly I need one with a cover because yep I am one of those users who keeps her devices in her purse. Now while I am one who buys purses/messenger bags with the separate section just for my devices, I usually have two or three in there so they will end up bumping against each other. I have yet to damage any but they all have "book" covers and screen protectors.

Any ideas for these type of covers??

Your best bet is to get a nice cover like the poetic slimline and then a sleeve to keep both in. Otherwise the thing will be heavy to hold. I bought a hard shell case for my N7 that works great for traveling and it fits even with the poetic cover still on. Here's the current Kindle Fire case

I've had mine since last November and both are still in great condition. I also have two HDX ones that are just sitting in storage. I wish I knew someone who has a HDX as I sent mine back and got the HD instead.

Not looking good for me. So far, only Poetic has posted cases for the HD 6; and I don't like any of the ones they plan to make. Hopefully, they'll add the Revolution to the lineup.

Ask them they have great customer service. More than likely they will. The poetic slimline is their most popular case which is why it's always comes out first.

What's your intended use for it? I plan to use mine primarily as an audio device and a time waster (waiting for appointments, etc); but that could change once I get it.

I plan to use mine for my audibles, my apps and backup reading. Oh and as the Cloud Collections Manager so that I can turn off the wifi on my pw2. But I will only be able to do that if it has the feature like the pw to show those books not in a collection in Collections view. Oh and maybe some minor music, but I do not have a lot of music on Amazon.
