I've been generating duplicate posts accidentally a lot lately. This was one, until I cleared out the duplicate message and wrote this one in its place. Does anyone know how to completely delete them so that they don't show? I know that if I clear all of the text and try to save it, I get a message that my message is too short. Arrghh!

I don't think you can. I've seen people replace the text with DELETED. I suspect that's the best you can do.

I believe that when you are logged in, there is a box in the lower left hand corner of your post that looks like an exclamation mark. When you mouse over it, it says "Report Post". You should be able to click on the box and report the post to moderators, who will then delete your duplicate post.

What if they didn't notice that the person doing the post and the person reporting it were the same person? Could they kick me off of MR? haha

I doubt you'd get kicked off for a single report I also imagine that the mods would be careful about taking a step as drastic as kicking someone off.

It was a tongue-in-cheek remark, again. I think that your remarks above were, too, since you put the " " in there, but I'm not completely sure . . . .

I try now to make sure that I put something: a "haha," or a smilie, or something when I'm doing the tongue-in-cheek or facetious stuff, so people will "pick up on it." I wasn't very good about doing that when I first started posting.

In all honesty, I have thought at times that one of the moderators might "call me out on" something that I had written. I have made some extremely snarky posts and some extremely facetious/tongue-in-cheek posts--plus some posts that were a little bit "biting."
