Aw, I wish I would have thought of that. We painted flowers on our faces. My hair was so long I could sit on it and I loved wearing my hat with flowers in the band. Sometimes my hat had beads wrapped around it and a peace symbol pinned on it. Memories....

I'm just glad we didn't name our son MoonFlower or HeartSong. Nice enough names but not so suitable for today's working world.

Nice. You lived in the commune time when it was still true peace, love, etc and not what happened when so many kept coming to California and ruined the Haight-Ashbury district hippie life.

What's wrong with MoonFlower or HeartSong? How about Frank Zappa's choices of "Moon Unit, Dweezil, Ahmet Emuukha Rodan and Diva Thin Muffin Pigeen" for his kids names?

What's in my pipe cup? Hot chocolate.

It was a wonderful period in my life. I was just back from the war, and I found a place to avoid the 'Machine Grind' of a 9-5, while learning how to be a human again. It's what I needed greatly at the time. It was heaven after a year of hell.

Not a thing... for the time and place. But do you know any successful heart surgeons named Moon Unit? How about any company CEO's named Thin Muffin? Time and place... time and place.

I just had a pot of black tea in the most wonderful Persian garden I've ever been. Sitting in the shade, on an oriental rug, being completely exhausted from sightseeing and eating 'like a beggar' (=only rice).

Tomorrow afternoon/ evening, you can read all about it.

Try it. I think you'll like it. It's rich enough to taste, but not overpowering. It makes a really nice afternoon tea. Better in the afternoon and evening than in the morning.

I think I just talked myself into a cup...

I agree with this bit

A cup of after dinner Pu-Erh...just finished
A cup of Assam Assam Hattialli FTGFOP now.

I received the first of the two parcels with new teas
3 China Black and Genmai-Cha.

I tried Gen-Mai-Cha today and like it. It is the second Genmaicha in my short tea-life and it is better than the first one, from NBTea. It is smoother with a hint of sweetness that is very elusive almost not there but is there.
There was a picture of Genmai-Cha on the online's website, but I thought it was just a marketing trick, because it shows some sort of white flower or popcorn? I was wrong. This white stuff is present in tea

Another oddity is China Black.

Yunnan Black Golden Tips
Golden Needle
Finest Keemun Mao

The same steeping instructions for the three.
All 4 (including Genmai-Cha) are advised to be rinsed with hot water...like the tea master on Masterclass in Tea Smith in London suggested.

80-90°C water
Can be re-infused approx. 4 times.

Black tea re-infused? and not 100°C?

So far, I like PekoeTea Online Store. Interesting teas, decent prices, efficient package - resealable foil bags.

If I had a hammer,
I'd hammer in the morning,
I'd hammer in the evening,
All over this land,
I'd hammer out danger,
I'd hammer out a warning,
I'd hammer out love between,
My brothers and my sisters,
All over this land.

Yeah... I've got fire in my blood and I'm ready to roll! Something about Saturday mornings really gets me moving. Today need a really strong tea to match the mood... so I chose China Black, brewed with a bit more tea leaf and a bit longer steep. I can almost chew it.

That T-shirt should have read "Never trust a Hippy unconditionally."
It's a matter of 'what' you can trust us with.
You can trust some with your money, others with your wife, still others to be sure to water your garden. You can trust a few with your stash, one or two with your food, and all of us to love you completely... as long as you share.

In the words of the Jefferson Airplane;
All your private property is target for your enemy. And your enemy is we.
We are all outlaws in the eyes of America
In order to survive we steal cheat lie forge fu@k hide and deal
We are obscene lawless hideous dangerous dirty violent and young
But we should be together

... and we were.
