'Hanna kin!' ( It's Flower Friday! Japanese version of T.G.I.F.) In honor of the occasion I'm drinking a mug of Golden Assam TGFOP1 tea, eating rice with a couple of Kalamata olives, and a piece of rye flatbread. Odd combination, but a good way to get ready for the weekend!

Don't tell anyone ... but I had a pair of bell bottom hip hugger jeans with vertical red/white/blue stripes ... that I lived in during some formative years of my life.

I had that floppy hat and the bell bottoms, too! And one summer I thought it was cool to stick a tiny seashell or two onto my cheek. Why? Who knows...

We lived in a commune in Southern California, in the foothills north of Pasadena, from '68-'71. You can only imagine how we dressed... or didn't dress. God bless all hippies. Wish I could remember more about it...

I'm just glad we didn't name our son MoonFlower or HeartSong. Nice enough names but not so suitable for today's working world.

All I can say is ... I'm really happy I wasn't born yet at that time. Then again, I was a teenager in the nineties ... Of man, the nineties were so wrong
