But do remember that although people differ in height (& so in healthy weight ranges), there's no such thing as big boned. No archaeologist has looked at a skeleton and said "Here's a big boned individual, he must have been very heavy when alive".

When we got together, his calf bone was the size of my thigh.
Of course one of us at that time had a fat index of like 0.

My low carb/low volume diet, and walking 8-10Km a day regime is working - the cardiac rehab people told me today that I've lost 4.6kg since late Nov. Maybe I'll buy some scales so I can track my weight like I'm tracking my steps and distance.

There are downsides though; firstly, there's another 13.6 kilos to go, secondly, I've reached the last hole in two of my belts, and thirdly, my pants and shorts are starting to fall down. I have a seamstress next door who does a bit of home work so she might be able to alter some of them.

I went down 4 inches on my waist over the last 6 months, so I have the same problem. Thank goodness for Primark and cheap jeans.

Bad news, good news: I'm still over my pre-Christmas weight, which I'd planned to lose by now, but I came home from a five-day trip to New Orleans to find I'd lost 1½ pounds. And seriously, I was going to be fine with having gained a few, since I enjoyed every bite.
