Now writing this:

It was Valentine’s day. Which was to say it was a day to lock doors, turn off T. V.’s and hope not to catch the first bars of some song that reminded him of her and reminded his tear ducts that they could open and produce salt water.

Man, Valentine's day is really getting to me this year (in a good way)

Well I think I'm actually going to publish this thing sometime tonight or early tomorrow. A tale of loneliness and Valentine's day and some strange machine just beyond a window that is coloured an unmistakable red.

I haven't finished it yet, but I've got an awful feeling it might turn out romantic and not cynical.

EDIT: Also, never ever listen to 13 sad and cynical songs about love in a row. It messes with your brain.
