The Praxis and The Sundering (HarperCollins US), the first two books of Walter Jon Williams' Dread Empire's Fall series are reduced to $3.99 at US retailers. Not a huge discount, but about half the normal price.

A bit of topic for this thread, but this has been bugging me all day.

Many years ago, I read a short story with a similar idea. It's about a time traveller keeps reliving the same year as he considers it the best year. The title is something simple like "The Best Year" and there is a scene that could be the inspiration for this novel. I can't think of an author for it. Heinlein would be my usual thought, but I can't see anything and other than the feeling it is by a big name, I can't put a name to it.

Anyone have an idea?

Honestly the whole Concept reminded me of a novel called "The Man who Folded himself" By David Gerrold.

I found (& bought) A Wizard of Earthsea by Ursula K LeGuin for £0.99. Well, I bought it from Amazon UK, who also had it at that price.
