Hi Everyone,

I wanted to let you know that I ordered my Kobo Aura ONE on August 31 direct from Kobo and it arrived yesterday 9/8/2016 from FedEx. The only email I received was the order confirmation email, I did not receive a shipping confirmation.

I hope this helps anyone else worried about a lack of shipping confirmation.

I wish we could use fedex DM in Canada. Won't let me sign up with a Canadian address

I finally got my Fed Ex DM to work. I am so excited about this! I have another shipment on the way that it is showing now, so once my Aura One ships, I should get notice. I love that you can set vacation holds, like I do for USPS, and other features.

well, the FedEx DM thing is pretty iffy

signed electronically three hours before attempted delivery yesterday but driver didn't leave package because there was no one there to sign for - apparently driver isn't updated despite the tablet things they carry around

called FedEx and was lied to by the customer service guy who said the driver didn't leave package because he thought it was "unsafe" - hah - live out in the boonies - just me and about 36.5 million mosquitoes
plus the fact the door tag was checked for me to sign and package would be left the next day
lordy
at least I have notification that it has been left today

Little late to the conversation (as I always am) but I ordered on September 1 and also no further word one way or the other.

Same thing happened to me. Signature release on file before it left the facility to be delivered to me and they still didn't leave it. The driver also didn't bother to fill out the time after which I can pick it up at the hold facility.

Interestingly, I ordered the KA1 (without cover, which was sold out by then) on the 6th, got an email today that my KA1 is shipping from Canada (not Hong Kong) and by UPS (not FedEx). I wonder if it means they got new stock.

Direct from Kobo USA?

Three years ago, when I preordered the Original Aura, that is how I got it. It came from Canada, via Canadian post.

I have not gotten such an email yet, though I ordered on the 2nd.

We've had a signature release on file with Fedex and UPS for many years, but the driver knocked on the door and I had to sign. He said the releases aren't valid for international deliveries.

So I order from Kobo my KA1 on the 6th. It stated "back in stock Sept 15th" at the time I ordered. I consistently emailed customer service a few times a day since the 7th inquiring about lack of communication since my order. I got a shipping notification today.

Persistence pays off. Keep bugging them. It's worth it.

It's here! FedEx made a second delivery attempt on the same day. That's nice! I didn't have to travel to the local facility and wait in line.

I know! I was disappointed when yesterday it shipped and had a Monday delivery. I thought it was going to be a long weekend of impatience. It's pretty impressive how quickly FedEx moved that box around the globe and through customs in the Eastern US to my house in the West.
