Magazines are the one thing for which PDF is my preferred format. They're generally better formatted in PDF than in ePub or KF8, and they generally use colour. They're very easy to read on my iPad.

Of course, Analog, Asimov's, Ellery Queen, etc. aren't really magazines in that sense. They are essentially monthly anthologies of new fiction. So PDF is a really bad format.

Fair point. The one magazine I buy is Ancient Egypt Magazine, which is a "traditionally-formatted" magazine with lots of colour pictures, sidebars, etc. Works well in PDF.

I also stopped then. And their coupons are useless since you can not use them for Nooks or Nook Products.

Sainsbury's sold them in their stores. That relationship might explain why B&N are selling their customers to Sainsbury's now.

Yes, I'm an amateur watercolor painter when I have a chance, and I have several years worth of Watercolor Artist magazine in the only format that's available for them -- PDF. It's also the only format makes sense for them, since they are very heavily dependent on full color illustration. They look great on my 10 inch Android tablet.

But ...

PDF isn't really a good choice (IMHO) for extended reading. In fact, magazines like Asimov's and Analog are using far fewer interior illustrations these days. And EPUB takes up less room in my library, too.

I haven't had any email from B&N, and I definitely have a UK nook account. Has anyone else with a UK account not received an email?

Is it possible your spam filter ate it?

Mine turned up on the 3rd, if anyone else got theirs 5 days or more different than that they could be going out in batches.

Yes, quite sure. I do also have a US account under a different email address.

Umm... those who've received an email - what was the From: address?

Nope, nothing from there since March 2015. I'd better check my account settings.

[EDIT]
I have email preferences set to "Don't send me notices (you will not be sent special coupons, updates about free shipping, invitations to private sales and other special discount offers)"

Surely, they didn't filter an important email because of that? Anyway, now switched to "Send me notices and communications about special offers, events, new products and services from NOOK & trusted third parties"

Neither my wife nor I have received an email yet. Both UK accounts, and my wife also has a physical Nook. Both of us with multiple purchases over the last few years.

My account's always been set to 'Send communications', so I don't think that's the issue.
