![]() Truth be told I just found out yesterday Katie ...corgi in picture ....has Diabeties. I now thinking IF they get the refund to me I can use it to buy her meds. Make payments on the PW3. Vet gave me 5 days worth. But he told me it will cost $40 bottle God knows how long that's going to last...depends on her Daily need. Last edited by Barbara1955; 12-19-2015 at 10:40 PM. |

Stories about Kobo CS range from "difficult to get in touch with" to "difficult to get satisfactory results from". Just based on the forum discussions I have seen... it seems that while the Kobo itself can be a very satisfactory device, peoples' happiness with their Kobo goes abruptly downhill as soon as they need CS for anything. |

I've got my HD Glo and love it but I agree Amazon has the best support. Also with Kobo you have to do some hacking to enable features so you need to be comfortable dealing with that. It's a learning curve for me.

The fact that people can and do get bad CS from Kobo, often enough to make it become an actual meme about Kobo, means that for someone who sees CS as the main factor in choosing a device, Kobo is NOT a good choice. Maybe you get good service from Kobo CS. But far more likely, you don't. The fact that certain longtime Kobo-owning members here are okay with the level of CS they get, does not fill me with confidence. The fact that the majority of discussions about Kobo CS involve people complaining about it, does not fill me with confidence. I am willing to acknowledge that Kobo CS *can* be good, and *can* result in satisfactory outcomes. But one does not choose a device based on whether the main determining factor *can* work out, but doesn't have to and in fact usually doesn't. |

I got good CS from Kobo but I still can't open those books. So there is that.

My customer service experience with Kobo was both terrible and excellent. It took about 2 weeks of trying every day, sometimes over and over again, to finally get through to them. When I finally did the guy was surprisingly helpful. He didn't really know how to solve my problem but he did a bit of digging and found a solution.
That makes me concerned about buying another Kobo but if I wanted one I probably wouldn't let that stop me from getting it. Barry |

The price on the Kobo site is what you'll be charged in USD (they currently show $109.99 w/ free shipping). For currency conversions when buying from someplace like Chapters you can use this site...
http://www.xe.com/currencyconverter/ Don't know how easy it'll be to find a used one since it's a current device that hasn't been out a year yet, but I doubt you'll find one for 1/2 price (considering what most older readers still often go for). If you do it'd be a great price. Last edited by AnemicOak; 12-26-2015 at 05:34 PM. |
