Still shaking my head and trying to decide if Facebook was a good idea, or whether I'd be happier NOT knowing that one of my high school classmates made porn films and another one was on Cheaters...with his boyfriend. Sheesh. I think I need to go take off my head and pour Clorox (bleach) in there to disinfect my brain.

NO! NEVER A GOOD IDEA!!! I stand firm against facebook (in spite of being harassed continuously.. wait, de ja vous, did I say this before on here?). I feel like the last of the non-pod people. That movie made a big impression on me when I saw it in 7th grade (the original one- Invasion of the Body Snatchers). I particularly remember thrilling my friend when I put my sleeping bag (I was sleeping over) on my head and running around yelling "Iʻm a pod person. Iʻm a pod person." For some reason, that terrified her, which made it all the more fun. Does that make me a sadist??

I feel a bit like that too. Am I the only one who feels offended when someone I've never met or even talked to online wants to be my "friend"? Somehow it seems my definition of the word "friend" is totally outdated.

I have been invited to a winter ball in Germany. "Cool idea" i thought when i got the invite. Ha, should have switched the brain on first. The trouble involved , the pain.

First I had to get a ballgown - don't have any here in Oz, OH can't dance and anyway we don't do formal here (No one can do formal as good as the Germans, and maybe the Austrians).

DO you realise how difficult it is to get a ballgown!!!! OMG. But that's taken care of. Will be waiting for me when i get to Germany. Hope it fits or I'm in trouble.

Next was to get a dance partner (my sister invited me but forgot to organise me a dance partner - silly sis). Well now, there are actually websites where you can register to find a dance partner. I did that. I even asked some guys - and now I know why I didn't marry a German man - they are RUDE. Ok, apology to the exceptions. But hey, at least a 'no thanks you are too ugly for me' would be a better reply email than just delete the I send or ignoring it altogether.

Never mind, I will enjoy myself at the ball. Come hell and high water, I will have a good time.

I'll never succumb to facebook, hyves, or however those sites are called these days. And I don't even have an ipod, so I'll also be one of the last non-pod people too!

Yes... But I solved that almost 8 years ago. When I got married. I didn't want a dress. I hate dresses! So, I went for a ballgown. Simple, with pants and in black! It looks awesome on me and I can still wear it
