There's no paragraph indents, so it's still a mess. It does actually have CSS instead of everything in the html though. This is using Mantano.

Attachment 142560
I previewed it using Calibre's reader. The indents are a lot more noticeable there:

Of Blood and Honey
By Stina Leicht is currently $1.99 in the US
http://www.amazon.com/Blood-Honey-Fe.../dp/B006OOFC6S
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/of-b...cht/1100387968
https://itunes.apple.com/us/book/of-...ey/id924702076

Liam never knew who his father was. The town of Derry had always assumed that he was the bastard of a protestant — his mother never spoke of him, and Liam assumed he was dead. But when the war between the fallen and the fey began to heat up, Liam and his family are pulled into a conflict that they didn’t know existed. A centuries old conflict between supernatural forces seems to mirror the political divisions in 1970’s era Ireland, and Liam is thrown headlong into both conflicts! Only the direct intervention of Liam’s real father, and a secret catholic order dedicated to fighting “The Fallen” can save Liam... from the mundane and supernatural forces around him, and from the darkness that lurks within him.

Anathem
by Neal Stephenson is also currently $1.99 in the US
https://store.kobobooks.com/en-us/ebook/anathem-1
http://www.amazon.com/Anathem-Neal-S.../dp/B0015DPXKI

Since childhood, Raz has lived behind the walls of a 3,400-year-old monastery, a sanctuary for scientists, philosophers, and mathematicians. There, he and his cohorts are sealed off from the illiterate, irrational, unpredictable "saecular" world, an endless landscape of casinos and megastores that is plagued by recurring cycles of booms and busts, dark ages and renaissances, world wars and climate change. Until the day that a higher power, driven by fear, decides it is only these cloistered scholars who have the abilities to avert an impending catastrophe. And, one by one, Raz and his friends, mentors, and teachers are summoned forth without warning into the unknown.

Scarborough Fair And Other Stories
by Elizabeth Ann Scarborough is currently $2.99 in the US

http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/scar...ugh/1027969477
http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/scar...ugh/1027969477

Scarborough Fair and Other Stories includes ten works by the author of the Nebula Award–winning The Healer’s War and many other novels. In “Final Vows,” Mu Mao the Magnificent, the feline bodhisattva from Scarborough’s novel Last Refuge, helps guide a reincarnated cat in solving the mystery of his own betrayal and murder. “Whirlwinds” takes place on the Diné Trail of Tears, when the US military force-marched ninety-five hundred Navajo people from their ancient, sacred homeland to the barren Bosque Redondo area surrounding New Mexico’s Fort Sumner. A coveted princess packs on pounds when a disgruntled suitor casts an evil spell on her in “Worse Than the Curse.” How is a plump princess to cope? And “Long Time Coming Home,” cowritten with Scarborough’s fellow Vietnam veteran Rick Reaser, is a story of the battles and ghosts many vets face after returning from the war. These and other stories capably demonstrate Scarborough’s breadth of skill.

UK Daily Deal, so only a few hours left: The Crystal Cave by Mary Stewart. The first book in her Arthurian Saga. This is a genuine authorised edition, unlike the pirated omnibus.

£0.99 for the next four hours!

Hence my original statement. I am accustomed to PP ebooks needing substantial work to reach what I consider a proper standard. I am utterly unsurprised to find this sort of goof in one of their books.

I bought both volumes (grumble) of Expanded Universe when PP published them, because they were the only option. I remember seeing horrible things in the code, and have back-burnered my cleanup. I'll get to it eventually, because I do like my RAH, but I'm in no hurry. I've read the original.

I believe you're off by about a decade. The only references I see to it on Baen's ebook site are from the 10/2003 and 7/2005 monthly bundles - corresponding to its trade and mass-market publication dates - and I was not buying ebooks back then. By the time I started, it was long gone - and that was longer ago than last summer.

Mockingbird by Walter Tevis ($1.99)

In a world where the human population has suffered devastating losses, a handful of survivors cling to what passes for life in a post-apocalyptic, dying landscape. A world where humans wander, drugged and lulled by electronic bliss. A dying world of no children and no art, where reading is forbidden. And a strange love triangle: Spofforth, who runs the world, the most perfect machine ever created, whose only wish is to die; and Paul and Mary Lou, a man and a woman whose passion for each other is the only hope for the future of human beings on earth.*

An elegiac dystopia of mankind coming to terms with its own imminent extinction, Mockingbird was nominated for a Nebula Award for Best Novel.*

Thanks, I kinda dropped the Drizzt books about a half-dozen ago but I've meant to get back to them at some point.
