Yes, come on over! I'm still in my pj, but I'm about to get dressed to go to the grocery store - I promised bf slow cooked ribs with a beer sauce tonight... there is bound to have some extra, if you want some! I don't feel like eating at all, so I'll probably have more soup tonight anyway...

Why do I like so much being refered to as poor baby?

(to be honest, i'm feeling a bit irritated because a friend of mine called me up yesterday and invited me over, and when i got there i discovered the entire house was ill, and should have been quarantined rather than having guests. i can't tell whether it's my imagination or whether i really am feeling a tiny bit feverish today but if i also catch it, somebody is going to pay. )

It's funny, because yesterday morning I felt a little better, so I went to my parents, but when I got there, fever and runny nose started and I ended up being *more* sick then before... if my dad catches it, I'm in for a guilt trip... but I still think it would be somewhat funny if he can't play with his ipad when it reaches home because he's too sleepy...

Uh-uh. right. Resting. I've been fighting with bf all weekend because he feels like going for a bike ride and playing tennis. I feel like having a clean house to sulk into, and I can barely go up and down the building's staircase. I've wasted a lot of energy today. But dinner seemed enjoyable for one of the person who had it - made me feel better for not doing any activities beside laundry and dish washing. It's a shame I didn't even eat a third of my plate because I can't chew and breathe at once.

Umm.... Exactly what has any man, ever, done that might, however tenuously, make you think we even know how to act as grown ups, let alone be grown ups? And yes, I include all my actions in this pot that makes the case for the defense our charmingly childish behaviour. Upto, and include, my attempts to escape from the llounge.

Mother is the main part of the problem in my family, though my siblings are complicit in behaving like whiny, protesting "I hate you!" children to her matriarchal, overprotecting, eternally-disappointed, choke-you-with-her-apron-strings mothering.

It isn't gender in our family; it's complicity in the environment of guilt and passive aggressiveness, all revolving around a tragedy held close as the tie that binds.
