I definitely prefer the whisky, honey and lemon option
(if it's going to be soup, either potato & leek, or cream of tomato - no chickens (or other animals) in either)

Hé-hé! You'll be ok, I'm sure!
It's funny, because yesterday morning I felt a little better, so I went to my parents, but when I got there, fever and runny nose started and I ended up being *more* sick then before... if my dad catches it, I'm in for a guilt trip... but I still think it would be somewhat funny if he can't play with his ipad when it reaches home because he's too sleepy...

Alpha agonists bind to the alpha receptors in cells and mimic the action of adrenaline. Which, when applied locally (like in nasal spray) is to constrict the blood vessels. The effect is - your swollen nose is not swollen anymore and you feel like reborn for the next 2-10 hours.
ha okay ! what kind of medecine can you get that in (name) ? i want it for the next time i am sick !

Uh-uh. right. Resting. I've been fighting with bf all weekend because he feels like going for a bike ride and playing tennis. I feel like having a clean house to sulk into, and I can barely go up and down the building's staircase. I've wasted a lot of energy today. But dinner seemed enjoyable for one of the person who had it - made me feel better for not doing any activities beside laundry and dish washing. It's a shame I didn't even eat a third of my plate because I can't chew and breathe at once.

Grrr.. Family! You'd think grown men would act like adults, wouldn't you? My brothers aren't talking to each other about a difference of opinion on welding extra wheels for a 14 foot gate at my parents.

So, how do they solve it? They are texting my mom with messages to be sent to each other! Men!

**yes, it's family stuff.... and if you two are reading this, grow up!**

Umm.... Exactly what has any man, ever, done that might, however tenuously, make you think we even know how to act as grown ups, let alone be grown ups? And yes, I include all my actions in this pot that makes the case for the defense our charmingly childish behaviour. Upto, and include, my attempts to escape from the llounge.

Only if the fistfight would be proxied through Mummy too.

If I were their mother, they'd both get a swift kick up the arse and told to get lives AND grow up. But then I'm a grumpy, grouchy woman

Well, when we all lived in the same house as kids, a quick fist always seemed to work as a quicker solution. The last one standing won. (as long as mom or dad didn't find out.)

Mother is the main part of the problem in my family, though my siblings are complicit in behaving like whiny, protesting "I hate you!" children to her matriarchal, overprotecting, eternally-disappointed, choke-you-with-her-apron-strings mothering.

It isn't gender in our family; it's complicity in the environment of guilt and passive aggressiveness, all revolving around a tragedy held close as the tie that binds.

Cheers,
Marc
