For those in the know, how much of Interzone's content is fiction and how much is "editorials, interviews, reviews, news and gossip".

Very few. The reason it's in the public domain in the US is because of the US-specific system of "renewable" copyrights which was in force until the 1960s. If a copyright was not renewed (as many magazine story copyrights were not), the article entered the public domain, regardless of whether or not the author was still alive. This book is in the public domain in the US for that reason. Mr. Harrison is still alive, so the work is not in the public domain in most countries, and nor will it be so for many, many years (at least 50).

I've only read Interzone in electronic editions so it's hard to judge the content ratio - but I think it's something like 2/3 fiction? I know it felt like primarily a fiction magazine if that means anything. It definitely has a lower proportion of fiction to total content than Analog does, if that means anything.

I ended up just getting a sub to Asimov's, as well as picking up their Feb issue. May go back and pick up a couple issues of Interzone.

Good plan - right now I'm hoping that at the end of the month I'll have enough spare cash to get another year of Analog plus a year each of Asimov's and Interzone.
