Imagine genmaicha, but with even less green tea flavor. When I used to visit Korea years ago, the budget hotels would have large urns of sobacha on tables at each end of the hallways so one could fill up a pitcher to bring into the rooms. I enjoy sobacha more than genmaicha, but that's me.
Genmaicha is too overpowering for me. I don't feel tea, only the worms.
When I was buying Sobacha, I thought it would be like Genmaicha, only in stead of roasted rise, there would be roasted buckwheat. The Internet says it is roasted buckwheat only. No tea at all.
Does it have green tea in it?

To meet the right person is a pure luck. No amount of experience will help. That's why I say that I would waste my time to play lotto, because I have totally exhausted my luck pot. If we are to believe that each person has been allotted only so much of luck per life circle, then mine is empty.

I don't believe that it does... It's been years since I last drank any. It was common when I first moved to Asia as the bottled water business was still in its infancy. In small village inns it would be hard to find any at all. Now there are convenience stores everywhere, so bottled water is easy to find even in remote villages.

We are fortunate that there are several 'right persons' for each of us in this world. It's our responsibility to be in the correct place at the correct time so we can meet them! THAT is where the 'luck' comes into play!

You know, all this talk about love, relationship, being in the right place at the right time and taking chances really has me thinking ... Hmmm ... Now I just need the courage. Or maybe just some alcohol

There are several major diamond retailers who say 'the best relationships begin with a diamond.' Frankly I believe that the best relationships began with a couple of drinks!

In all seriousness now, pick the person you really would like to get to know, walk up and say 'hello, my name's XXXXX. I'd really like to get to know you. Do you have time for an Strawberry Ice Cream Sundae?"

That's all you need to do. I never had a woman say 'no' to that, unless it was to change it to chocolate, or a cup of coffee. Unless she was already spoken for, of course. Or spray me with Mace.

You make it sound so easy! Well, not the mace thing. That just sounds painful.

I know it's easy in theory. I also know from experience that the couple of times when I took the iniative were really hard and nervewrecking. I just need some more time to prepare. I'll get there in the end

The last three times I took the initiative the guy turned out to be gay. I waited for the hubby to ask me out. I dropped many a hint, spent whatever time he wanted at the bar and out to eat after softball games, and finally found his friends and told them I was interested. It took a month for him to ask me out on a real date.

But I knew if I asked him out he would be gay.

There are several, but sometimes you have to nudge luck into the right direction.

You just take care with the alcohol. You want a clear head to see what's right and what's wrong.

Listen to what she says, Iridal. The problem is that of nice guys or better of men - given your age bracket I think you should look for some one in the early/middle thirties, if you get him of your age ... - available for more than just hit and run there is less and less. This is what I ear from all directions. A place that is coming back in fashion is work. There at least you get a more accurate idea of who is who. But most of the decent ones are already taken. Prof was very very lucky to get his marvel. She knows it btw.

My intuition is that, one day not too faraway, may be real soon, you will be walking downtown looking for a new pair of shoes and eying through the windows of the shops, when he will bump into you and you will help him to collect the packages he has bought for his old Aunties (he has 3, you will know all of these saucy details in a second time). Luckily he is orphan, the little angel. Little ... not little at all. Quite a man actually, just a little shy. You are standing there, he has recovered his packages, you do not know what to say, it might just be this, a nothing turning in nothingness, when again someone bumps you, and this time you end up again the orphan. He steadies you, You look him up in the face and ... Ding! You both are hit. And you both start to laugh in each other face, which to me is just what it takes ...
