I am really disappointed in these "special offers". I've had a KSO since October and there have been a couple of good deals, but nothing like at the beginning (from what I've seen from older posts). Writing them is probably pointless. I suspect that eventually, all Kindles will be sold with ads.

I have fond memories of the good old days (May~Aug) when the offers were good

Exclusive or not, I am now downloading my very first (ever) audio book and will be reading/listening to my vary first (ever) Tom Clancy novel...for free.

So, I get to see if I like audio-books and if I like Tom clancy at the same time.

If you end up liking audiobooks, be sure to check out your library for more selections. Libraries have been doing audiobooks much longer than ebooks; and many have more audiobooks than they do ebooks.

Also, check your library for the ebook version. My libraries have it. Some people like to read the ebook version first and others like to read and listen at the same time. As for me, I only do one version at a time and don't care which one I do first. YMMV.
