Well, yes, of course. I suppose the 4th gibbon would have to be there, wouldn't you? That's why I left him out. I wouldn't want people to think I was seeing invisible people....er, gibbons.

I've arrived in Paris and have been for a walk and out for a meal. Then we had a stroll along the Canal St Martin.
Tomorrow we shall go to an exhibition and on Saturday it's the meet-up.

We're not sure yet. My partner is busy reading Pariscope t osee what's on. He likes the sound of a Palestinian exhibition at the musee de monde arabe. Or the latest exhiition at the musee Cluny on mirrors and cosmetics through the ages. We may manage both. I also like the idea of the Madeleine Vionnet dresses at the musee des arts decoratif. (She invented bias-cut clothing.)

the Institut du monde arabe (which contains the museum among other things) is a gorgeous building, well worth visiting for the architecture as well, if you've never been there. one of the façades is covered in metal diaphragmes like moucharabiehs which can be opened or closed to let it more or less light. i'm pretty sure they've got a café in there too where you can have a mint tea. but all of those expos sound good. you'll have to tell me about whatever you end up seeing on saturday.
