I'm diabetic, and I have yet to find any health app better than SHealth for tracking all the stuff I need to track, from food to exercise to heart rate to blood glucose levels. I like it so much I'm using it on my new Motorola, It works there too! |

I need Help! Is there a thread or Forum for Galaxy S5 phones?
My 1st help is How do you get the 6.0.1 Android update.... Cell says its on Current OS & is UTD.. 5.??. Had it since Saturday figured it should have updated by now. What can I do to remove the apps it came with? I tried to put them into a folder But it still shows themin & out of the folder....

There are forums on the samsung site for phones that should help. AT&T might still might have forums for the S5, it was a very popular phone. My phone came with a LOT of junkware from Verizon that was burned into ROM, but as I recall, the Samsung preloaded stuff was uninstallable. I assume the only way to get rid of the stuff is to root the phone. I assume the issue is the same with AT&T, those two pretty much walk in lock step. Verizon allowed me to disable those apps but not get rid of them. It's still a pretty good phone, even with the older OS; for everyday consumer use, I think it would be fine, but I suspect Last edited by GlenBarrington; 10-23-2017 at 09:56 AM. |

OK silly question. Have you linked your Samsung to your Amazon account? You can use the Amazon app store. I forgot about that since I only have one Amazon app on my phone and tablet. |

I have an AT&T Galaxy S5 that I bought unlocked from Pure Talk to use with my free Safelink account and it upgraded itself to 6.01 the day I got it. I've never to AT&T but it seems to still get updates from them.
Since then I've gotten several security updates. For what it's worth it's a nice phone. I replaced my Nexus 5 with it because I needed better battery life. The Nexus 5 was a plain vanilla Android phone, which I much prefer, but this has been good and reliable and gave me what I needed. With it's AMOLED screen it's also quite a bit nicer for reading. I've been reading quite a bit on it. Barry |
