Yeah, completely unreliable. Haters will be haters. Not so easy when the iphone is not obviously the best any more in smart phones by a big margin.
Hmm, the article goes on to state, "When you compare the specs under the hood, however, you can see that the Galaxy S5 pulls ahead of the iPhone 6: with its 2.5 GHz compared to the iPhone 6's 2 GHz, and with its doubling of the iPhone 6's RAM."

Oh really, they list 32GB as max RAM for S5 and 128GB as max for Iphone 6. This article is riddled with errors. Whoever wrote it is an idiot, and only other idiots would put any faith in it. It reads like a political commercial--full of blatant lies and incorrect data. In what universe is 128 half as much as 32?!?

In what universe does the iPhone 6 have 128 GB of RAM? I thought the rumours said 1. 128 GB in a phone instead of a giant supercomputer seems a tad unlikely, no?

You do realize that is just the stand, right?

EDIT: Oh, you meant this? You must not wear a watch. That "bulge" is standard on most watches.

You should go tell all those Rolex and Breitling owners that their watches must be sitting uncomfortably on their wrists. I'm sure they'll appreciate your unique insight.

You didn't read it right. RAM is not the same as onboard storage. The S5 has 2GB (others like the Note have 3GB), whereas the iphones have had 1GB (and looks like they continue to do so).

the watch is indeed ugly. And the phone(s) are way below what the competition is doing. I did not see anything really outstanding.

Really? There's a lot of reasons to criticize Apple but I've never heard anyone say that their products are ugly.

Jswinden, don't tell me it's 2014 and you still don't know what RAM is. If the iPhone still only has 1GB of RAM then LOL.

There's a difference between RAM and storage.

i believe that you may be confusing RAM with storage. RAM is used for running programs, including the operating system, with 1GB for the iphone and 2GB for the galaxy.

the iphone offers up to 128GB of storage space (depending on the model, with no way to expand via a memory card). the 32GB of storage on the galaxy, however, can be supplemented with a memory card (not sure what the max is, though).

i agree with you that the article has some very obvious errors. maybe the writer was in a rush to get it out first?

Here's what I'd like to see -- both for the irony and the effect: An iPhone that rediscovered the removable battery.

At this point, too many Android phones use non-removable batteries. The LG G3 is an exception, and Samsung devices are legendary for their open-box hardware, but Samsung has also implemented some nasty software-firmware limitations that undercut the benefits of their hardware design.

Wouldn't you love it if Apple's next so-called innovation was to bring back the battery access they chose to disallow?

I'm waiting to see whether the last Mac Pro's disappointing sales finally convince Apple that most professional artists, musicians and film people refuse to invest in hardware that can't be opened and updated. The day Apple figures that out will be the day that nearly every conversation I have with a professional in the arts doesn't begin with the words, "Have you thought about buying a PC?" MacBook Pros with Retina are having that effect as well.

I won't be buying an iPhone 6 because of the locked-down hardware, but it's to Apple's credit (in terms of design and integration) that I pause each year to consider the possibility.

My biggest problem with Android phones, and yes I'd like to consider them, is the inability of any UK Network to get 32Gb onboard storage devices. I only use apps on my iPhone and for those I need internal storage. I don't take tons of photos or add videos etc, I need storage for apps like Kindle and Audible. All O2 can offer me is the new Samsung Galaxy which is less than £100 cheaper than the 6 that will now have 64Gb. That's where Apple have us.

I don't want a 16 'but you can put an SD card in it'.

And by taking out the 32GB that might be part of Apples reasoning.

Coverage maps are nice, but they don't tell the whole story. There are many areas where T-Mobile has 4G, but doesn't show it on their map because they "undersell" their coverage in an effort to avoid unhappy customers. I guess they figure it's better to be pleasantly surprised than disappointed. The only way to know for sure is to take your device there and see what their coverage is.

T-Mobile is not known for having the best rural coverage, but obviously they're working on it.

I used to love my iPhone and Apple. But I migrated away over screen size, and I haven't regretted it once for user experience. You can make Android look and act like an iPhone with NovaLauncher, but you can't make an iPhone look and act like an Android with anything. Apple has been insisting for too long they know better than their users what their users want, and they've finally admitted that screen size is an issue that is driving customers away.

In the meantime, I'm loving my new Samsung S5 and see no reason to regret my purchase...
