Exactly - to the OS it is just a drive. Anything you can do with an old fashioned HDD can be done with SSD.

Yep. Otherwise the information one of the other posters posted a link to (on page 3) wouldn't have been of any use. I just had to make the USB Flash Drive into a bootable flash drive and change the bios setting and I was in business as far as restoring my netbook to full function.
