I don't read a lot of mainstream books so the India stuff isn't great for me. But I used to love Terri Pratchett so I'll take a look at that one. Thanks for letting us know!

I'm allowing myself to by books because I have money right now and my income is about to be cut in half so I won't have extra money anymore. Yes, I know I'm rationalizing because that money could be saved, but I don't have any other vices that cost money. I'm reducing costs in all other areas at least, and using these coupons is frugal, right? Right? Tell me "right" because I need validations.

You can't convert the ones that you can't download. Sometimes there is no download button. There may be a way to get it off through the Kobo program, but it's a bit convoluted. If you have a Kobo device you can take it off there, but if you only buy the books from Kobo, to read on something else, you may find you can't.

I meant to ask, where do you hear about the contests? There's nothing on their website and there wasn't anything in the emails they've sent me recently. Is it always the same URL?

Thanks Spersephone. It hasn't happened to my yet. I'm hoping that it won't. the genre I read is muchly crap and it's all uncommon so although it's rarely on the special deals lists, no wants to control how people buy it because no one would.

The basic link is http://contest.kobo.com/ That doesn't change, though it will default to the current/last contest's URL

Hi I just wanted to say thanks to all the helpful people on here. I joined Kobo during the last 90 % off sale and got so many books that I've wanted for ages. Thanks to you all posting the codes (and the India info) I have many reading hours of pleasure ahead of me. Oh ... and an addiction to codes that is fast spiralling out of control ;o)

Hello all --

I've been lurking here for months, but seeing maybedog here induced me to finally register (we know each other from another forum).

Kobo's 90% off sale has ruint me for any reasonable sales elsewhere. I won't even look at sites offering less than 50% discounts these days. And I now own an insane number of books that I know I'll never read. But thank God for ebooks -- at least I'm not surrounded by stacks of dusty dead-tree books in piles all over the place! :-)

Sometimes they do. The longest I remember was 10 or 11 days.
