My CyBook's screen has cracked. I was carrying it my hand (in its case), when I slipped on some ice. Sorry to hear that! I deliberately didn't take mine with me these last few days (because I normally go over at least once in icy conditions) - but I managed to stay upright this time!

I'm sure they will be very careful, but if someone should accidentally get bumped while cutting.

Woke up this AM (Christmas Eve)

Started coffee. Went to fridge for creamer. (peppermint, of course)

Steppd in water. Hmmm....thats odd.

Opened freezer. Interesting. Everything is thawed. Everything. Everything.

Fan is running, no cold air.

Opened Fridge side. Cool-ish air.

SON OF A BISCUIT EATER!!

HONEY, THE FRIDGE HAS GONE OUT!!! CRAP CRAP CRAP!!!

This is where having your daughter live two doors down comes in handy. Ran the freezer contents over there.......got a cooler and ice and saved butter. (can't live without butter)

8 couples coming for dinner tonight. Thank God its Mexican take out........

I'll deal with this after Christmas.

DG, I think you and I are old enough to remember a time before fridges had succumbed to "planned obsolescence" and a fridge would typically last for twenty five or more years, Ahhh, the good ole days!

I think my Dad is still using one he got -used- when I was a year or two old... and I am thinking of retiring soon (but not early

) It's on of those round top Frigidaire ones - better that a bunny for keeping on running... course it does make some noises now and then (so do I)
