Stocking up supplies for an anticipated "major" snow event prophesied to occur on Monday - the weather folk are actually using words like "considerable" accumulation - which is not often heard in the South!

I'm hoping to get snowed in but not lose power - I really need some R & R these days!

When my wife and I lived in Northern Virginia, we called that a "TP, Milk and Kitty Litter run." Amazing how fast those items flew from the shelves when snow was mentioned.

Hope your power stays on.

This cold gets to me. Snow, snow and snow for weeks.
Now the snow is almost gone and its starts raining; on a frozen underground.
Last thursday I had to walk with my bike through the snow, today I will be skating my bike to work. Hope I'll arrive in one piece.
And when you are into the second week of temperatures hovering about 40 C (over 100 F) like we get here in the summer you'll have much fonder memories of snow!

Although possible flurries are predicted for tonight, we may get your "significant storm" (as the forecasters are calling it) beginning Monday in the PM hours. If we do have a snow storm on that schedule, that would be the good news. I'm off work from Monday morning until Thursday night, so I'd probably miss the clean up.

I hope you get the snow but keep the power! Plenty of cat cuddling and reading then.

It must be a bit like the floods only drier and colder. And there is a chance that the power and water will stay on.

No floods right here, you can escape the cold and snow if you come over again, but look out for Betty, last time she came over it hailed.

Hmmmm....if we lose power I'll risk Betty's dire influence on your weather and trebuchet over! Otherwise I'll be at home cuddling cats & Kindle!

Jeez! One little mistake in weather control and you never live it down!

I'll launch more carefully this time...

I suppose I did ask you to bring the ice for the party. I didn't understand what happens to ice when you fly through the MR air corridors.

Mr M is doing very well. Apart from licking his bald patches you wouldn't know he had been injured. The improvement was miraculous. You'd have thought he was dying the first day. I guess he is getting more dog like (putting on the pain).

Ground fog here. Beautiful stars up there, but you couldn't see the road due to the fog... Add to that some frozen patches... I actually felt the ABS for the first time this winter!

Rain rain and more rain.
I heard thunder this morning at 5.30am as I got home from my walk. There were dark clouds to the north and they followed me south to work this morning. It was raining heavily about an hour later. From the north?? When does weather come from there??
Just heard the local weather forecast - rain and storms will continue until Tuesday. And after that it is just rain and showers.
*sigh.
My work has asked for volunteers to go do community relief in the flood zones. Some of my workmates are already there. I would really like to go but my husband has been away for the last 4 weeks - he gets home on Tuesday night, and does NOT want me to go away just as he is getting back! I wish I could go and take him with me - but he has to get back to his business, his customers have been waiting anxiously for his return. His phone will be ringing hot on Wednesday.
So I will have to just do long distance IT support for the community relief, from my desk.
I wish it would stop raining, but I know that when it does it will be hot and humid and there will be so many insects...
