Finished this month's Book Club book, "Old Man's War". Don't know if I would have tried it if it hadn't been the choice. Good book. Warning though... If you have a problem with profanity, this is probably not your book. Now I'll *try* to start "Ulysses". Come on Kenny... |

And now I'll finish Debt of Ages, which seems to carry on fairly soon after "Legacy" finished.

See, Kenny? Everyone is doing it. Resistance is futile. Sooner or later you'll have to go to sleep, and the pods will get you then

I'm reading "The Tiger" by John Vaillant. I heard about it on NPR (stupid NPR, always expanding by TBR pile) and thought it sounded interesting. It's about a poacher (true story) stalked and killed by a Siberian tiger. Clearly it's not just a normal attack, but as I'm not even a third of the way through I'm not sure exactly what that entails. So far it's a very good book, riveting and filled with history and other information about Russia (which I'm not very familiar with). |

Reading Blood Canticle by Anne Rice. Narrated by Lestat. No matter how way out and... well, kinda 'trashy', I guess... her stuff gets, I always find myself drawn in. Before that, a cute little Robert Rankin-like book called Honest, the Martian Ate Your Dog. A bit overdone on the humour in places, but that's often my reaction to Rankin too.
