I see something quite similar, the device seems to freeze at arbitrary times. Sending the device to sleep with the cover or the button does work, but the screen will not react to any touch. Only switching the device off and on again will rectify this behavior. I did not need to use the reset, though.
This behavior occurred in 3.11/12 as well, but was not present in 3.15.

I got exactly the same problem. It was rarely occurring in 3.15 but now my kobo aura h2o was updated to 3.17.3 it is happening at least 3 times a day.

I don't even know where to report it, but that bugs me a lot.
I'm sure pretty much every Kobo user have played "Unblock it!" on their Kobo.
First time I've started the game, I've beaten 1st level and got the message that I made 11 moves and CPU would do it in 10. Okay, maybe I made a mistake or even failed to properly swipe and made 2 moves instead of 1. Whatever.
Now I've noticed there's a "Hint" button. When I press it enough times it 9 moves and finishing move is available, that makes 10, right? I press "Hint" once more and... "Not terrible. You've made 11 moves, I can do it in 10". Wait, what? It was you all along!
So bug: moves meter is kind of wrong. Or is it "congratulations" screen? Whatever.

Aura HD on 3.18.0, bug present since 3.17.3 afaik:

When you open a book's TOC, the little tick doesn't mark the chapter I am actually reading, but the first chapter in the current html-file. This is a horribly annoying bug if you read a lot of books with very short chapters (e.g. poetry collections), which would have to be split into hundreds of individual html-files for the TOC to work correctly.

Glo here. Turkish dictionary gives most of the definitions in a mix of Turkish and English. Unusable.

My devices don't show a Turkish dictionary. But, there is an English-Turkish translation dictionary. Is that the one you are referring to?

H2O here, I newly upgraded to 3.17 and then 3.18, then I started experiencing the touchscreen going unresponsive, but only after quickly going to sleep and then waking up again (power button - I don't have a cover). I seem to have found an easy workaround: just send the unit to sleep again with the power button, wait 5-10-15 secs, then turn in back on again - voila, touchscreen working again.

No spontaneous freezes here (until now).

I noticed in another thread that someone thought the unresponsive touchscreen might be caused by a touch before sleep lingering after wakeup, making the kobo think you are trying to do a drag.

For kepubs, on the first page of a chapter, the last menu option isn't displayed when you bring up the bottom menu.

To reproduce:

1. Go to the last page of a chapter
2. bring up the bottom menu
3. press the stats option - the stats window comes up
4. advance a page to the next chapter
5. bring up the bottom menu
*** no stats window is displayed
6. advance a page
7. bring up the bottom menu
the stats window is displayed

This is on 3.15.0. Patches installed. Night mode installed. sideloaded kepubs through calibre.

In sideloaded kepubs, with full justification on, when a line contains a long dash, the text isn't fully right justified (there is a little space).

I see this in just about every ebook.

Attached is a kepub that shows the problem. The space is subtle in the attached file, it is usually worse (noticeable enough that I notice it when I'm normally reading.) It may be worse if there are spaces before/after the dash.

firmware 3.15.0. patches installed. nightmode installed. "Show header and footer" unchecked.

Sorry, but this doesn't count unless it's still an issue with the latest firmware. Try 3.18.0 and if it's still an issue, then report it.

Need to be tested on the latest firmware. Doesn't count unless it is. There have been about 5 newer firmware releases since 3.15.0. So what you see as an issue could have been fixed and/or changed.

That has been a problem with KePubs (not just sideloaded ones) for a very long time, it happens with certain other non-ascii characters such as ellipses too, and seems to happen when the character is used as a word-joiner and full justification is active. Only workaround is probably to edit the book and add spaces either side of the character, or to use the ePub reader instead. (This is one of the main reasons I prefer ePubs to KePubs.)
