That's for a black and white show from 1960.

Both are not likely to drop much. Those particular shows aren't even regular pressed DVD's, but made on demand DVD-R's due to low demand. On average the on demand burned disc shows are higher in price than shows popular enough to get a regular pressed release (not always, but in general).

I have found that if an add-on item has a subscribe and save option, it can ship that way without hitting the qualifying minimum. I have noticed in general that the TV/movie people vastly, vastly overvalue their products. They keep upping the prices they want for streaming licenses too, or just flat-out pulling them because they can't get the huge sums they want for them. It's really ridiculous.

The music people are pretty weird about releasing stuff from the 50s & 60s overall, unless it's from the big, popular artists. A good example would be my Christmas playlist. I have tons of vinyl rips of really old albums that have never been re-released. Good ones too, really good ones. But the rights holders can't be bothered to release them.

Yep, that's the point they'll regret over-pricing everything now. At some point it'll bring in nothing. If they made it cheaper and easier to access now, you'd have new audiences discovering it and wanting to buy it in the future too.

A good place to go for inexpensive DVDs is Hamilton Books. I used to buy a lot of books there before I had an ereader. They specialize in closeouts, discontinued products, etc., so it's difficult to predict what they'll have, but it should be inexpensive. For instance, right now they have the first season of Bat Masterson (B&W Western TV series starring Gene Barry) for $3.95. Shipping and handling charges are pretty reasonable.

There are a lot of those on eBay. Under $40 for the box with all five seasons of Twilight Zone, and single seasons near $10.

I'm not an Amazon person so no idea if that's a good price or not.

Katie, I have had great experience with Walmart the past two Christmases, but I went yesterday and they had nothing to offer. Maybe I'll try another location.

You might try shopping online. Since I became an affiliate there I noticed they have TONS of stuff that is online only. I was just out there looking for zippers and they ONLY ship the 4 and 6 packs. None in the store. Same with the bargain muslin. I have to order it online and go pick it up, but it's something like 2 dollars a yard that way if I recall. I could go on, but I'd bore you with the illusion that I can sew or something!

None of the fabric places I follow had good sales. The organiccottonplus had ONE decent sale on BF, but it was not "Blow me away." Their CM was meh.

Many of the things on my list just didn't go on sale. Maybe after Christmas or maybe not at all. A few places surprised me because they've done sales in the past (even the depositphotos "sale" this year was limited to email signups and it was nearly TRIPLE last year's price).

Thankfully I don't *need* anything really bad (except the socks I bought).

That's a good price. But 8gb and no expandable storage is quite limiting. Fine if you just want one for reading, but too limited for music or video.
