I wasn't clear, my point was implicit.

They are tested now on a KT2

They only need to be tested on the KT3 and one other of the three, 300 ppi devices (they will look the same on all three).

I used the arm chroot on my PC to test every resolution and I made 4 different tilesets. They seem ok to me.

Anyway all the GIFs and the conf file can be modified.
I think this zip is the last one from me so it can be added to the first post (?)

Attached screenshot of thick tile set on a PW2 (758x1024). I think that it's looking great.
Selected tiles in thick tile set don't look much different from other tiles, and I completely lack the skills to edit something like this in a gif; I'm not bothered about this, but others might be.

Yeah I tried to edit the thick tileset but the game failed to load the modified one. I don't know what I'm doing wrong with that GIF, anyway it's not so difficult to edit the gnome2 tileset with GIMP. I extracted the tiles from the thick tileset and I put them into a GIF like the gnome2 tileset (21x4 tiles). It's not the same but I find it better than the gnome2.

Here are screenshots from my PW3, one using the menu, and the other calling from command line with --landscape false. I can't really see the depth, I would say a think tileset would be better on that.

There's some problem when a tileset has been edited. All tiles ride on top of the tile to their right in edited tilesets, which destroys all depth perception on higher res kindles.
gnome2 tileset has low depth to begin with, which actually results in much less of a problem when it is resized.
This is the same roadblock I hit when trying to resize whichever tileset comes first alphabetically. That one had good depth, though not as good as thick tileset. I tried editing that one for a couple of hours, but all edited tilesets resulted in a total loss of depth perception, with all tiles riding on top of the tile to their right.

If you look closely at your screenshot, you'll see that tiles are overlapping whichever tile lies to their right and that's mainly what's causing a loss of the already limited depth in gnome2 tileset.

Hi sguerrini97, thanks for your help.

I did a little bit of makeup on the extension:
- changed tileset for PW1, PW2 to thick. With the one you created it is hard to see if a stone is on top of the other one.
- added KUAL menus to start all the 23 different layouts.

Thanks again for compiling and adoption

I was thinking about adding a random layout selection when the game starts, good idea to use the kual menu to choose it, didn't think about that.

Btw I noticed the tilesets I made aren't so good, Image manipulation isn't really my field. Too bad the thick one doesn't fit in my 600x800 screen and I don't understand how to resize it. I will try to do something better when I have time

It was my first Ide to use the Kual Menu when I realized the command line options.
I think about adding a tileset selection via Kual Menus. Should be doable with simple scripting.

But as you mention, there is a time problem on my side too

Here's a better gnome2 for 600x800 screens. I wrote an email to the original developer and asked him how to edit the thick tileset, let's see if he replies..

Thank you guys for this amazing native port.
I really appreciate this.

Ok here I go :
~ fixed typo in script preventing to start farandula setup
~ fixed typos in script and Kula json preventing school setup to start
~ optimized thick for kt3 800x600
~ optimized small for kt3 800x600

The ceremonial setup is the second widest and pabillion the widest of them all.
I optimized the tiles up to ceremonial in one file what makes pabillion a little off the side.
The other one is up to pabillion what makes the rest smaller.
I personally go with the first one and live with it..but hey everybody has to rock his own boat...Your decision.
The tiles800x600 I didn't optimize... it's too big on my kt3 to display the bigger setups and like said before in a post really hard to see the levels

I personally like using small_kt3.gif....but I like the idea to choose....The background as well
You already set that possibility...but kual integration would be really peachy.

Thanks again for you effort @Hanspeter, @sguerrini97

P.S. let me know if I messed up something plz

Ooooops I better zip those tiles XD
Sorry

Wodan

EDIT: BTW it could be made bigger though if you leave out the setups pabillion&ceremonial...but that's up to you guys. I did that on my personal install.
But it's your work...you guys decide.

Thank you for sharing! May you tell us how did you manage to resize the think GIF?

I removed all the scripts and add parameters inside the menu.json to make the package cleaner. I've put all the tilesets inside this zip.

NoNoNo I have to thank you for sharing!

As I see you have tried gimp, how about a easy dirty fix for you...a no brainer so to speak.

http://www.online-image-editor.com/

So you don't have to lose time to keep up the good work ;-)

But what we really need would be a clean source with a decent size and file format, to shrink them.
What we are doing here is shrinking the shrunk.
Bad quality gif and we try to resize it even smaller...or bigger.
Result = crappy

I attach the ones I made..maybe you can use some.
If not the page should work.

Ok now let's install that jewel of yours

Wodan

EDIT: I think small has the right ratio though... they are higher than wide and have a good thickness ,but that's just my personal opinion..
