Running "calibre --ignore-plugins" fixed the problem of the window size changes not being saved for me, so I started uninstalling plugins one-by-one and it appears to be an incompatibility with Marvin XD 1.2.4. With that plugin installed, my gui.py file is not saved when calibre quits.
With Marvin XD, I get: ./calibre-debug -s Shutdown command sent, waiting for shutdown... /Applications/calibre.app/Contents/Resources/Python/site-packages/cherrypy/process/wspbus.py:225: RuntimeWarning: The main thread is exiting, but the Bus is in the states.STARTED state; shutting it down automatically now. You must either call bus.block() after start(), or call bus.exit() before the main thread exits. My Calibre Library always start from Welcome Wizard. Because it stores config data to /tmp/calibre-config-?????/ directory. Whenever I try to open Calibre. the ????? will change to something alphanumeric.
After that I got another problem. Whenever I try to open Calibre, I must replace that one with the config I preferred. :3 Is there any way to set that config permanent? Info: Ubuntu 19.04 System has both python2 and python3. Calibre installation directory is /opt/Calibre/. |

Settings should have been stored in your User folder, not any tmp path.
(been too long since I have booted a Linux system, for me to give the exact path) How are you starting Calibre? (and with what switches) |

You cna always override the config directory using an environment variable, as described here: https://manual.calibre-ebook.com/cus...ment-variables
