Also I tend to buy at kobo for complex books even if they are slightly more expensive than amazon to avoid converting from the poor amazon formats. That led to a few problems when it was a kepub, but this solved with the right plugin.

Also if you archive your kobo bought books, I think they wont sync to the device. I try to avoid syncing which upsets my dictionaries and other personal settings.

In my country (the Netherlands) the sold books are epubs which are in high tax (21%) and paper books are in the 6% category.
Allso, for paper books there is a minimum price which you can't get lower, so the author always know what he or she will get for a selled paper book.
Epub doesn't have this,they can be prized in any way, but that means a lot of bookstores online are waiting with the release of an epub.
(So if you really want to read it,you have to buy the paper one where they get more profit of.)
It is also (yet) legal to sell your epub back..the court handles it like you got a licence to read the book,you can sell that licence using a special page that removes the watermark,and when you uploaded it for sale it must be removed from all your devices, the buyer get a new watermark.
You can revert this by pulling the book out of it,download it again and then it is out your selling account.
We have some resellers of epubs but mainly Bol.com sells the epubs.
They are about 10-15% lower then the kobostore.
Google books most of the time (it can be different for every title) is 5% under the price of Bol.com
Amazon is just started one week or so,but their prises are the same as Bol.com so I just ignore them because of the format ..why would I convert it to epub when I can buy it for the same prize or lower on Bol.com or the "second hand shop".. Bol now sells a lot of the Kobo readers since Sony stopped, but they keep selling the epub format.
Generally most of the Dutch people don't use the Koboshop and don't use the kepub because only the epub are selled.

If u use as extra in a .css this:
Code:
@page {
    margin-top: 5pt
    margin-left: 5pt
    }
Your text is a little lower the the upper bezel and a little bit from the left.
(I do it because when I read with other light,there is a bit of shadow from the bezel and I avoid that by addig this lines to a standard .css )

Latest from our country ( I was sure this is gonna happen after Bol.com start selling the ereaders of Kobo) the koboshop in the Netherlands is closed.
A lot of customers of Bol.com are complaining over the kepub format and that you can Only buy books from Bol (e[pub) and not from Kobo when you have the so much promoted Sony reader. (It can't display kepubs)
The Kobo webshop has been taken over by Libris and is terrible revamped, txt in windows where they don't fit,so only half of pages.
It only sells epub now and you can't take your old account with you.
The online shop via the reader still works.
So no Kepubs any more online in my language by the online shop, it is now only possible to buy kepubs via the device for as long as it takes.
