Yeah it was, it took a couple tries but I finally logged in. Way too much hassle to get to a book. I'm hoping some enterprising person finds an easy way for Kindles to access Google Books. I can't be the only one that wants this.

You might not be the only one who wants Google books, but you're the first Kindle owner I can remember who's said they prefer non-reflowable formats.

I would not use Kindle to shop for Google books, or organizing them. Do that on your computer.

Once you login and go to 'My Library', bookmark it and you can just go right there next time. You can set up 'shelves' to organize content, and get to the book you want with a little clicking. Once you start reading it you can navigate easily enough.

Yes, I'd like to see a more mobile-oriented if not Kindle oriented page there (like G:RSS-Web is to Google Reader) but it is not that bad.

Really don't see the point of Google even bothering with opening an eBookStore and not support the leading eReader - the Kindle. Seems like a waste of time and money. Unless they are working with Amazon to push epub support on Kindles.

I also have a Sony 505 and tried some of the ebooks from Google several months ago and they were positively dreadful - a thoroughly unpleasant reading experience - all poorly scanned - errors all over the place. They may have improved things since then - sure hope so.

You don't see the benefit of that first picture I posted compared to the second?
