Happy with the non-HD Kobo Aura, though, and would get a H2O if it broke, but it being an Amazon product aside, the Voyager looks good to me.

Well, for better or for worse I have pre-ordered a Voyage. I chose it over a PW for a couple of reasons: firstly, it's a new new new gadget and secondly I got it for a very good price (wifi only, don't need 3G)

Now the wait begins!

Couldn't it be that he lowered the price using gift cards or Amazon coin credit or something? He paid in a different way, in that case, but still, the immediate layout of money would be less.

I'm assuming one CAN use gift cards and credit on pre-orders; I don't know for sure.

Ah well, a couple of months back I got a 20% off code for a Kindle. When the Voyage was announced, I emailed to ask if it was valid for the new device and they said "no, but as you asked so nicely..." and voila! job done, order placed. :-)
