I wouldn't know. Barring the different introductions, and proofreading, if they include the fix-up novel versions of some of these stories, maybe there will be.

Not much to go on. It looks like (based on the titles included in each omnibus) these are omnibus reprints of the Ace/Daw books rather than the Del Rey ones. All six of the Ace titles are listed, rather than listing individual stories. These appear to be collections of the six Ace books with newer works inserted in their chronological place.

Again, I'm saying this based on the contents listing. So, take it with a grain of salt.

I have little interest in military sci-fi (I'm not against it, just not a fan). But the underlaying story on this one sounds very interesting.

On the other hand, this part of a review: "...I hit a detailed history of why marines used a greeny colour for their helmet. I was so disinterested I cannot remember the colour and I only read it 2 minutes ago. Mr Douglas has obviously a great love of the military and all things concerning muzzel velocity etc of armaments. Unfortunately I don't unless the detail helps the story along..." makes me second guess.
