Not sure if something like this ever happened to anyone else but I had to trash my M-Edge Go cover after about 6-7 months. The glue started to bleed through on the inside, leaving a sticky residue anytime you tried to hold it open as it was most prominent around the inside bend. That was $35 down the drain. Suppose I might have been able to return it but didn't really look into it, as I didn't quite like the case from the beginning. Was always stiff and uncomfortable to hold.
Opted to go the cheap route and bought this $13 mCover. Wish I had done so from the beginning. Works just fine, has a nice feel and was dirt cheap. Not sure or care much if it's real leather but it looks and seems decent to me. I'll never spend over $20 on a case again. |

I am about to order the Kindle 3 and all that's lacking is the case to accompany it. I want it simple -- something that's not bulky, and will not obstruct the buttons. Your post just made the decision a whole lot easier. Thanks a lot! Can't wait to get my stuff! ![]() |

In a few days my "Fake" leather cover is coming (actually its just a sinthetic leather). Its the DX ones, i ll comment/review as soon as i get to try it.
Never took kindle "out into the wild" (aka anywhere but my house) just becasue i felt it could get broken. Specially since I'm a student and I carry tons of thing in my backpack. I've only took it twice to my University, to show it to some friend (the one who ordered the covers for me) because she was thinking of getting some kind of e-reader, she just fell in love with my kindle. I had to remind her a couple of times that it was MY kindle, not HERS. So, anyways, will do a review, but don't expect much, its a u$s10 cover. (paying half kindle price for a cover didn'0t seem reasonable to me :l ) http://www.dealextreme.com/p/protect...-3-black-49301 |

I just got the cover.
It's really practical; obviously it doesn't have any fancy design as the Oberon (I love those designs!); but it does its purpose. Has 2 lower leather straps, and the top ones are elastic. The opening is a magnetic, a little clumsy, but it does that "Click" sound when it closed properly. The kindle fits really well; not too tight, not too loose. I've read (other reviews) that if you use it with a skin, the kindle still fits in the straps and gets covered; but that its a little tighten. The straps aren't pressing on any key, so no problem having something misclicked. As said before; they only "con" could really be on the closing mechanism, as it's located almost over the screen; but I wouldn't worry, as there are 2 leather sheets and 1 faux velvet, between the mechanism and the kindle. Now, I won't worry ifI want to carry it around the University in my backpack. The PU leathr, is a synthetic leather, you can feel it when you touch it. It's not real leather, but seems like a good material. Will see how the fabrics get overtime...my main concern would be the faux velvet thing... |

Hi Thomas, Thank you for your interest in G-Form. Sorry for the delay getting back to you. The Kindle will fit in the iPad Extreme Sleeve and the larger sized Kindle will fit in the MacBook Air 11" sleeve. There will be some extra room in there, but it will still offer the G-Form protection. At this point we do not have plans to make a specific sleeve for the Kindle. But I always pass along suggestions and requests to our Development Team so if we start to see enough interest, we may look into producing it. Have a great day! Thanks for this link! I've just bought one and its terrific. I originally had a lighted Amazon cover, but just didn't get on with it. It was nice, but it was a bit too heavy and just not right at the time for me. This cover, while a lot cheaper, has a nice look and feel to it and I've very happy with it - its got much more of a personality. Of course, I'd love to have an integrated light as well but its not essential. I don't really use the built-in flap or card holder, but they don't get in the way. I thought the button flap might be fiddly, but it hasn't been an issue. There are cutouts for sound on the back - though since I don't play any music/audio books with it I'd much rather have had it without the cutouts. Sometimes hitting the menu button is a little harder than it used to be, but the page turn buttons work great. I still sometimes slip it out of the case when even the little extra weight feels too much, but no I always keep it in the case whenever its on the move ![]() ![]() |

Very true!
Of course, I did just buy a case a month or so ago, so it's probably for the best. I put more thought into dressing my Kindle than I do dressing myself. I think I'll go play with Kiwidude's latest plugins. They're free. And I'm going to be using the Reading List plugin in conjunction with the Kindle Collections plugin. Maybe she'll be happy with a library renovation instead of a new case. ![]() |

I have just become the proud owner of a new Kindle 3 WiFi. I have only changed because i wanted a decent light attached. So i have bought the Kindle lighted cover and, whilst not fancy on any way, its what I wanted and needed. but I am only on Day 3!

Amazon has the Speck Dustjackets for the K2 for $5/$7 red/"leather" respectively. These were originally $30/$35. Not worth that. At $5/$7 though. It cheaper than the cheap stuff you can get on ebay. The quality is better. They work fine if a bit bulky. Thy definitely give your K2 the book feel.
