This is very helpful! The metadata that Scribd is using doesn't seem to be very helpful in finding the books I'd like to read. They could use a few more librarians on board I think. It also helps to see the old cover art on the Goodreads page. The cover art for some reissued backlist titles is so generic I can't even tell where the book is set!

Awesome! I am enjoying it too. I spend that much in one week usually. So I think it's well worth it.

This is great I'd do it too if I wasn't busy. I'm 60% into The Choice and I really like it so far.

My knee seem better today thanks everyone for your comfort. I overdid it though packing today so time to ice my knee and do some reading.

I've been trying to get stuff from the library (overdrive or dead tree) in preference to purchasing, but still I'd been spending too much. And Scribd has a really good selection of m/m romance, which regular libraries almost never get, and some SF I've been wanting to try but the library doesn't have the first volumes of the series (just picks up in the middle volumes...I hate that).

Of course now that I've said that about purchasing, I'm probably going to get an expensive iPad mini that saves me no money because I went to Best Buy to check out tablets and was overcome with AppleLust.

And this is why I am going to stop buying books. It sounded familar and I checked and I had bought it in August of 2011 for 99 cents and not yet read. Now given, it took a while to go free . But it seems many books eventually do.

Oh gosh all this talk of series and now I have to go investigate my library... just to torture myself of course. But I am currently working on the goal of finishing a few series I own multiple books of - the ones with 5+ books are killer (but at the same time are usually reliably 3+ stars!)

Didn't buy a thing last week and after a few DNFs only read the first and last quarter of Nine Rules to Break When Romancing a Rake by Sarah MacLean (3 stars, and oh look a new series started )

Oh I am glad you mentioned that! I hadn't checked that. You are so right, they do!

I definitely want to keep Scribd. I just need them to add full justification as an option! Even the Kindle app has full justification.

I read this book and recommend it, for those who like traditional regencies/Georgians. I think there is some sex but not super graphic.

Really on the nexus 7 I notice no difference with justification. I mean it isn't full but it isn't really all that uneven either like on other apps when you select no justification. It's like in between.

<<< Maybe that's just what I need. I'm most 'unhappy' with the new author counts, and I have succeeded in cutting these back dramatically since my NY Resolution. I just didn't realize those counts were more than my auto-buy authors.

On a happy note my average book price has stayed under $1.
