Reminder - SYNC begins tomorrow morning - Thu 07 May
Be sure to download OverDrive to your devices. All downloads must go through OverDrive. Once downloaded, you're free to move these DRM-free MP3 titles to any device capable of playing MP3s. Additionally, be sure to make backup copies. If your only copy is ever damaged or lost, there's no way to obtain another free copy. Neither SYNC nor OverDrive store your copies in their servers the way Amazon does. Please limit all discussions about SYNC to the dedicated thread. It's a sticky in the Deals Forum and will always be in the upper half of the page during the promo. Thread --> SYNC 2015 - Free Audiobooks for Summer |

LearnOutLoud--55 Professionally-Narrated Audiobooks for $1 Each.
I got an email message from LearnOutLoud telling me that they have 50 (there are actually 55) audio titles on sale now for $1 each.
No, none of these are going to be audiobooks of the most recent bestsellers on your wish list, but you might find something among the choices that you would like to have. And, spot-checking the selection, it appears that all of the audiobooks are professionally or, at least, semi-professionally narrated (read: no LibriVox narration!). So that you might get an idea of the kinds of books that we're talking about, I've selected 10 titles at random, or as close to random as I can (no, I didn't use a table of random numbers or a random number generator, but, it will be close enough like it is). Here you go: Creative Mind, by Ernest Holmes The Autobiography of Benjamin Franklin, by Benjamin Franklin The Art of Money Getting, by P.T. Barnum Great Speeches in History, by ? The Madman, by Kahlil Gibran Great Biographies in Time, by Plutarch, et al.(?) Iron Will, by Orison Swett Marden Classics of Western Philosophy, Volume 2, by Bertrand Russell, et al.(?) Greek Gods, by William Smith A Message to Garcia, by Elbert Hubbard Here's the link to all of the titles on sale for $1: http://www.learnoutloud.com/Download...Emagazine#self. |

Show Respect for Yourself and Take Advantage of this Whispersync Deal.
Okay, here's another Whispersync companion deal.
The ebook Respect Yourself: Stax Records and the Soul Explosion, by Robert Gordon, is marked down 85% right now, to $1.99. The Whispersync audio is only $3.99. So, you can have the audio to this ebook for only $5.98 ($1.99 + $3.99)! Whether or not you use the ebook is your business; if you do use it, it will sync up for you with the audiobook. And this ebook/audiobook is no slouch in size, either. The ebook is 480 pages long, making the narration just short of 18 hours. Wow! Of course, you will want to know how good the ebook and narration are. The ebook is rated 4 1/2 stars, from 46 reviews at the present moment, and the audiobook is rated 4.4, from 23 reviews at the present moment. At Audible, the audiobook alone is $25.95! You can save $20 by taking advantage of this Whispersync deal available right now. You can do everything that you need to to get the deal by going to the ebook's webpage at Amazon. Happy listening. And reading, if you should so choose. |

Audible $10 Coupon
Regarding the recent $10 coupon (given for the purchase of 3 books over a certain value), is it possible to apply the coupon to the purchase of more credits?

Whispersync Deal on The Art of Neighboring (Aimed at Christians)--Only $5.98.
You know how the Whispersync deals work. After you buy the Kindle ebook, you then can get the audio for a reduced price. Sometimes you can get the ebook and audio for much less than you could get the audio alone at Audible. It's those kinds of deals that I post here on this thread.
This book is aimed at Christians. The book is The Art of Neighboring: Building Genuine Relationships Right Outside your Door. The price of the deal is $5.98 (ebook $1.99 + audio $3.99). The audiobook by itself at Audible is $11.95, so you can save a lot of money on the audio with this deal, plus you'll have the ebook and the syncing benefit. The ebook and audiobook are good ones, if the ratings are any indicator. The ebook is rated 4 1/2 stars, from 117 reviews at the present moment. The audiobook is rated 4.4, from 18 ratings at the present moment. The book length is 209 pages. The corresponding audio length is 4 hours and 42 minutes. Go here to find out more about the ebook or to get the ebook and/or the whole deal. Find out more about the audio at the Audible webpage here. |

Charles Dickens' Masterpiece(?)--Only $3.98 via a Whispersync Companion Deal!
Well, the book description says that it is "widely regarded as Dickens' masterpiece," anyway. Being a non-fictionista as I am, I have no idea if that is the truth or not. However, we know that the book descriptions never stretch the truth, right? hahahahahah.
The book is Bleak House. Of course, it has long been in the public domain, and I'm sure that there are places where you can get an audio recording of it cheaper than even $3.98; if nowhere else, there is LibriVox. But, with this being a Whispersync companion deal, the audio is professionally narrated. The Kindle ebook is marked down to $0.99 at the present time. The Whispersync companion audiobook is $2.99. You have to buy the ebook (or already have the ebook) to get that price. So, the audiobook via the Whispersync deal is $3.98 ($0.99 + $2.99). The audio is well over 30 hours long, so the value as measured by price-per-hour is extremely high. You know how to get the deal. You can go to the webpage for the Kindle ebook and not only buy the ebook, but also purchase the Whispersync audio there, too. Last edited by GtrsRGr8; 05-13-2015 at 01:04 AM. |

And the accompanying audiobooks are the same, which is this one: http://www.audible.com/pd/Classics/B...1543200&sr=1-3. So, there's no advantage or disadvantage there. FYI--there are at least three other editions of Bleak House, than the two above, that have Whispersync companions. This one has the same audiobook as the two above. The two other ones, which are this one and this other one, use another audiobook. Listeners may prefer one narration over the other one, of course. All of the editions that I've mentioned are 99 cents each, and their Whispersync audio companions are $2.99. The ebook may not matter to someone following this thread, but there are differences, of course, in the many different ebook editions of this book. The one that I posted is the Signet Classic edition, with an Introduction by Michael Slater and an Afterword by Elizabeth McCracken. I don't know if the price says anything about the relative value of the editions, but this one has a regular digital price of $1.99; it is marked down 50% now, to $0.99. Right. Even the other version mentioned, the audio pairing was going to cost $2.99. It wasn't free.
