No, none of these are going to be audiobooks of the most recent bestsellers on your wish list, but you might find something among the choices that you would like to have. i felt odd that this non-fiction book was written by a man but read by a woman, so i passed on the audio version.

Yes, as long as you have no more than 1 credit. I just did this with my $10 coupon.

Well, the book description says that it is "widely regarded as Dickens' masterpiece," anyway. Being a non-fictionista as I am, I have no idea if that is the truth or not. However, we know that the book descriptions never stretch the truth, right? hahahahahah.

The book is Bleak House. Of course, it has long been in the public domain, and I'm sure that there are places where you can get an audio recording of it cheaper than even $3.98; if nowhere else, there is LibriVox. But, with this being a Whispersync companion deal, the audio is professionally narrated.

The Kindle ebook is marked down to $0.99 at the present time. The Whispersync companion audiobook is $2.99. You have to buy the ebook (or already have the ebook) to get that price. So, the audiobook via the Whispersync deal is $3.98 ($0.99 + $2.99).

And the accompanying audiobooks are the same, which is this one: http://www.audible.com/pd/Classics/B...1543200&sr=1-3. So, there's no advantage or disadvantage there.

FYI--there are at least three other editions of Bleak House, than the two above, that have Whispersync companions. This one has the same audiobook as the two above. The two other ones, which are this one and this other one, use another audiobook. Listeners may prefer one narration over the other one, of course.

All of the editions that I've mentioned are 99 cents each, and their Whispersync audio companions are $2.99.

The ebook may not matter to someone following this thread, but there are differences, of course, in the many different ebook editions of this book. The one that I posted is the Signet Classic edition, with an Introduction by Michael Slater and an Afterword by Elizabeth McCracken. I don't know if the price says anything about the relative value of the editions, but this one has a regular digital price of $1.99; it is marked down 50% now, to $0.99.
