EDIT - There look to be lots of 99¢ Avon titles, no discernible theme.

Avon is no longer doing the theme sales. They just are marking down books permanently these days. They do still have occasional sale where the authors backlist is discounted. Most of the 99 cents titles have been that way for months now. We do post the new ones here as they are marked down.

I know there are some cowboy fans here

I just finished this and was very pleasantly surprised (I love it when that happens with a bargain book.). More intense/angsty than I expected, yet with that touch of humor, and well-written. A bargain at $1.99, and I will probably buy the second one when it comes out. Plus, the author did a good job with the sequel baiting - by the end of the book, I was really interested to read the next couple's story.

One comment on DA says this is a quite serious book but didn't go into detail but said she was really enjoying it. I bought it when it first came out but like everything else I buy I haven't read it yet.

Oh does sound good! Now I got to move it up on my TBR list.

I tell you Zebra Romances are the most unique ones being mainstream published today. They do no force cookie cutters molds on their authors.

I will probably get a Paperwhite... but hate that I have to wait until October, which is SO far away! lol Thankfully my hubby rarely uses his Kobo so I have that in the meantime (I really dislike reading on my tablet, which to be honest "belongs" to my toddler. lol)

I like to give my hubby stats to help convince him... like the cost of the new reader would only be an extra $0.07 per book in my existing library, and 80% of those are freebies or will-borrow-from-library.

I have learned about a lot of books here, that I may not have otherwise bothered to download, or read once I did download. It is easy enough to find free books on amazon, since they have lists of free books, but how do you know if it is free because the author/publisher wants to generate interest for an upcoming book, or because it is a piece of c*^$.
