But, but which password shall I keep?

I was hoping they would decide to go DRM free on their ebooks. I am glad I won't have to double-check which "side" I am signed in at any longer.

Ha! I checked my wishlist and half the books on it I'd already purchased at the various Kobo sales. I tend to forget I have books on a wishlist at stores. I do so with ARe because sometimes the titles are listed in OmniLit but not ARe and it just makes them easier to find. But I'd obviously forgotten about Harlequin.

Ditto to this and pretty much what everyone else said. I love this thread. I lurk a lot, post occasionally and click ALL THE TIME (you sweet sweet enablers) I find that even though I get several emails from various sources that give me links to free and bargain books, I most often click from here - I have a pretty good idea of what most of the posters' preferences are, so that culls out a lot of what would be 'junk' to me. In fact, often I won't click on a freeby found elsewhere unless or until I see it posted here. I just trust the readers on this thread, I guess...*hugs*

So if I've never said it before, thank you all for the time you put into looking at the books and posting them here (you don't just post because it's free or cheap, but you make sure it's got SOME merit too!). And thanks also to everyone who posts those calibre, organization, etc tips! And the well wishes for those in need, that's just the best part of this thread. I hope it never goes away *more hugs*

That's good news. I never understood why it was separate.

I can't decide if I want them to also merge in Carina Press as well. On the one hand, having everything in one library would be nice and having Harlequin deals and codes be applicable to CP books would be great. One the other, I really like the way CP posts the next 3 months upcoming releases and would hate to lose that. Otherwise the sites are nearly identical.

They wouldn't be able to merge with Carina unless Harlequin went DRM free. I remember Angela James mentioning that was one of the main reasons Carina was given a different site.

Agreed. In its current form, the title implies this is a link list, which obviously is not the case.

For the record, I'm one of the boring ones who'd prefer a link list, since that's what I want out of he thread. however, i know I'm in the minority, so I'm keeping my mouth shut and ignoring posts without links in them.

Cowboy with a Cause by Carla Cassidy (Harlequin Romantic Suspense) is still free, but also Audible has dropped the price of the audiobook to $0.99 for those who have the Kindle edition. In case anyone's interested.

Quote:
"I'D APOLOGIZE FOR KISSING YOU, BUT I'M NOT ALL THAT SORRY."

Dancer Melanie Brooks had escaped small-town Oklahoma, giving up the country for Broadway's bright lights. Yet after her mother's funeral called her back, her own health issues forced her to stay. Now her tenant, too-hot-for-his-own-good Adam Benson, is giving her a reason to dance again. But has a killer set his sights on her, too?

Adam knows a little something about fresh starts. As for his beautiful neighbor, he doesn't see a wheelchair—he sees a woman who understands. But as the heat grows between them, he can't avoid the feeling that more than her big-city past haunts her—and that danger has been lurking, waiting to strike….

If heart-racing romance and high-stakes suspense is what you're after, look for four new titles every month from Harlequin Romantic Suspense!

It's part of a Buy a Kindle Book, Then Upgrade with Narration for Just $0.99 sale that's going on right now.

There are also a couple of self-pubbed books as freebies with $0.99 audio too...

Shattered Promises by Jessica Sorensen (Audio)
Quote:
**Mature Content Warning** 17+ for language and sexual content.
(A re-imagining of my young adult book, The Fallen Star, told as a New Adult Paranormal. You can download the young adult version, The Fallen Star, for free on Amazon.)

For twenty-one year-old Gemma, life has never been normal. She knows nothing about her past and has been haunted by the same monsters in her nightmares for the last few months. Unemotional and numb to life, she feels disconnected from everyone. Until the very first day she cries. After that, nothing in her life is the same.

Her emotions slowly surface and she starts experiencing love, happiness, and anger, feelings she never knew existed. But they leave her confused and she doesn’t know whether to embrace them or run away from them.

Her life only gets more complicated when she meets Alex. Sexy, arrogant, and secretive, Alex can get under Gemma’s skin like no one can. Yet she’s drawn to him by an invisible connection she has no control over. She’s also seen him before. In her nightmares.

Every part of Gemma’s mind is screaming at her to stay away from Alex, but every other part of her is begging to get close to him. But the closer she gets, the more she realizes Alex knows more about her than he originally let on.

As secrets about her past unravel, Gemma’s life becomes threatened. She needs to figure out what’s going on, before she winds up dead. But the only person she can turn to for answers is the one person she isn’t sure she can trust.
Game, Set, Match by Nana Malone (Audio)
Quote:
Sassy contemporary Romance. 99,000 words. This is the revised ebook edition

Off the court, tennis star Jason Cartwright's playboy image is taking a public beating. On the court, he's down forty-love. A knee injury is shutting down his game, and the paparazzi are splashing his love life on every magazine. A comeback is in order, but the makeover he needs to save his faltering career is in the hands of the woman he loved and left fifteen years ago.

While single-mom, Izzy Connors, sees people for who they really are through the lens of her camera, even without it, she knows Jason isn't the star he appears to be. Although his charm and good looks haven't dimmed since he broke her heart, all she sees is his wasted talent and playboy lifestyle.

Can Izzy put the past behind her and help Jason get his game, and his image, back on track? Or will the click of her camera shatter his world as well as his heart?

That's got to be pen name for possibly an established author because that's what ePublishing Works usually publishes is backlist titles. I get leery when I see a name like this with no info on why an author felt the need to do something like this.
