I also have that, and I agree with you. It's a fine case. The light may be a little bit weak (in my opinion), but i don't really find it a problem. The case also fits the 505, but it's juuuuuust a little looser - again, no problem. This is a good case. I wonder if two brighter LEDs could be put in there...??? Don |

JavoEdge Style Case for PRS-600
I just received my Sony Premium Cover). The height remains almost the same.[*]It increases a little the weight of the device and about a 50% the thickness.[*]When holding open, the center of gravity moves a little to the left because of the front cover. It was a little disappointing at the beginning, and the only point that doubts about having chose right. I preferred the horizontal presentation because I'll feel more comfortable reading an horizontally opened ebook in public -yeah, I'm very shy and don't like to attract attention with strange devices no one has seen before. But now I've discovered it's perfect for holding the case just below the next page button.[*]It has NO pockets for extra microSD. I knew but I don't mind. I have enough room for books with up to 8Gb in one microSD.[*]I doesn't have a stand (Tuff-Luff does), but I wouldn't use it as I'm -old manner- used to hold it for reading. (see NOTE 1)[*]Of course, as with most of the cases, the touch is soft and the Reader feels much more protected.[/LIST]I've only found the official pictures, I'll try to take some photos and upload them.
And now, anticipating the summer, I'm thinking about getting a M-Edge Leisure Jacket for the beach. NOTE 1: JAVOEdge's web said that it "Includes fold-able stand for easy viewing". I didn't found it and it's not on the web pictures. I wrote to them and they recognized the description is wrong and are going to correct it. Good for them! I have the Sony case with the light, and while I really like its functionality, I don't think it's particularly well made. I've only had it a couple weeks and one of the edges is coming apart, exposing the cardboard inside. For the price they charge for these, it should be of higher quality.

I agree; I have the sony cover without the light and it feels flimsy. Nothing is coming apart yet, but I'm careful about how I handle it after the experience of others here on this forum. I also don't like that with the cover it doesn't fit in the neoprene sleeve that came with the reader - your choice is to use the cover OR the sleeve, but not both. I'm afraid I'll drop it now. I picked up a clearance mini computer sleeve ($5.50 at wallyworld) that I put the covered reader in, but it's not perfect.

i just bought a PRS-600 (i used to own a PRS-500 and upgraded it). i loved the cover of PRS-500 which came with it and never felt the need to change it. it was pretty well made and looked very nice. i became a bit disappointed that 600 did not come with its own cover. sony seems to become so cheap and thank god they atleast put the reader in a box. ok i will stop my rant. i looked at the PRSA-CL6 and it looked so flimsy and i did not want to spend 60 dollars which is going to come apart soon. my main thing is i do not want to spend so much money so i am looking for a cheap and best cover. i think i need to wait more time for cheaper version of covers.
thanks |

Does anyone know if any of the leather covers can be used at the same time as the BookArmor case? I know they say it doesn't, but I assume that is because you can't attach the velcro strips. It would be useful to get a nice, general purpose cover, and then a hard shell I can put it in for travelling, without having to take it out of the cover.

![]() The only problem I have with it is the 2 interior slip pockets. They increase the thickness of the screen cover, making difficult to close it, a little just for covering the device, and I fear it could push on the screen... ![]() With the cover for Cybook, there was only 1 slip pocket and no problem at all with its size... @Iodine,
couple of questions: Can the front cover fold back on itself? and I noticed a nobby thing on the front cover in the first pic in your gallery. What's up with that? Dan <>< |

I got a simple Proporta case for the PRS-600 from Waterstones. There isn't much to it, a simple leather folder, but it is easier to use than the slip case, as long as I remember to switch the Reader off because otherwise the case presses the page fwd/back or menu buttons as it closes!!

i use a three-sided case (tri-fold/bi-fold, however you want to call it) with my sony 505. it's suppose to work for the 600 as well. i'm not sure what brand it is. but i got it shipped from the uk to the us quite a while ago. the outside is black and the inside is kind of orange. since there are three sides, it completely protects the left and right edges. in addition, the top and bottom exceeds the reader by almost a quarter inch each. if i happen to drop the reader, no part of the reader would actually come into contact with the ground.

Just to revive an older thread: I got an M-Edge Latitude cover for my Sony Touch. The case fits nicely and protects my reader well in my big open bags. The cover folds very nicely back and the zipper can be closed with the cover on both sides on the reader.
The on-switch and connectors are accessible without taking the reader out. Very happy with it and would recommend it to anybody who prefer a more casual cover that simply works. |
