Thank you everyone for your replies. I was already looked at all the ones you've mentioned before and was trying to narrow it down.

I would have gotten the standard Sony one but I hear the plastic things break easily. And I need something a lot more durable. (even though it's the most streamline of the bunch)

Easyi - Not available for the Prs-600 from what I've been able to find.

M-Edge - I'm seriously considering buying this one.. I just wish I could see it in real-life to see how thick it is when folded over. (And I wonder how often I'd use the standing up feature)

Case-Logic - A bit bulky.. doesn't look like it'd fit in my clutch/purse very easily.

Oberon case - one of the very first ones I looked at because they are just gorgeous. But I'm worried that the cover wouldn't bend back (I'm not sure I'd even want to bend the cover back for fear of ruining the lovely cover).

Noreve - So expensive but so nice. I love the way this case holds the reader in, it's one of the best I've seen. My question is will it still clip in the same way after lots of use.. and can the cover bend back?

I just bought this, too. As you mention, one has to slightly lift up - although, I now find it MUCH easier to press down slightly and pull back slightly JUST ABOVE THE TOP LEFT STRAP to turn it on or off.

I'm one of these people who have multiple Readers AND multiple cases.

I had a Sony case with a light for around 2 months and then one of the little clips snapped , i think because i accidently lifted it up by the cover so the weight of the reader might have done it. Gutted as its pretty expensive and am reluctant to trust the clips again so have ordered the M Edge executive instead

I'm choosing between the M-Edge Go and the Platform Jacket. Both are nice, and I just can't choose. :-/

Edit: Just looked at the Oberon cases. Decisions, decisions.

I purchased my prs 300 right before xmas from their education store for $179. plus one free accessory, which I chose the ac charger . The case with the light was thirty some dollars so I bought it also. Love it. Great size, good quality and the book light works very good at night. I think they are back up to $54 or $49 at the education store. For the price I paid I never bothered to look at the alternatives.

I orginally bought the sony case with the light. I just don't like the big, bulky plastic part on the left that holds the light. I liked the leather cover I had for the 500, which was pretty slim, and in comparison, the one with the light is just kind of irritating. I also don't love that it's only held in by the tabs, as sometimes I lose grip on the back cover and it swings around. It's too late for me to return it, alas.

I ordered the M-edge Go cover, but it has a lot of padding, so it is also bulky in a different way. It didn't immediately want to fold back easily (I assume it would break in). I liked the light, and how it slides into the case, but the build could be better: when you rotate the light into reading position, it can easily come out of its little groove, and come apart. So I'm going to return it.

I'm now thinking of the Oberon; I suspect it's going to be padded and bulky too, but so pretty! So I might just end up with the Sony case w/o light.

Hi, Posh M. Take a look at this thread: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/showthread.php?t=50989

The Oberon case doesn't look bulky, and the cover folds back easily (so I've read).

I have a 505 and a 600. I purchased an m-edge cover about 6 months ago and really like it. It is a little bulky, but it is much easier to hold onto than the device by itself. It folds back completely and has a pleasing feel. In fact I am so happy with it have purchased another with the optional light m-edge now has available. Another thing I like about this cover is the soft interior, the padding, and the pockets. As I like to take my reader with me so that I have something to do when I am waiting in line somewhere, I place my driver's license and debit card in the large pocket. They don't scratch the screen. Hopefuly my new cover arrives next wk. I can't wait to get it.

I got my Sony cover (no light) and I like it pretty well. I like how slim it is. The cover folds back easily. I'm not really sure what it's made of: a faux leather? I preferred the old cover for the 500 which was definitely leather. I also got the mighty bright travel led light, which is perfect.

My Noreve for the Sony is being handmade and will take about another week before it's shipped to my U.S. address.

The Noreve for the Sony connects in exactly the same way as the two Noreves for my Kindle2.

The cover bends back completely and feels great. Incredible workmanship. It's the exact same size as the Reader that it fits. I highly recommend it, but it's going to cost close to $100.

i picked up the sony case with the light and love it. the cover does bend back just fine. the light illuminates the screen nicely, and the cover stays shut with light magnets. looks great, even had some complements from friends about it. feels nice on the hands. very happy with the case. no problem with the light being plastic, lighter weight to hold. does what it's supposed to do, light up my screen.
